One of the best hotels in Madrid, the service was really good, and the rooms were large and comfortable. We arrived from the US early in the morning, and although could not be accommodated right away, I know they tried their best. By 1 pm, we were resting in our rooms. The location is ideal, close to El Prado and walking distance to most landmarks in Madrid. Yes, it is an expensive hotel, however it is worth it.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor, if they have a function, it'll be hard to sleep

Take a lovely building owned by a hotel chain with some of the best perks for frequent travelers and then staff it with uncaring, lazy, some might even say useless employees. Add into the mix outrageous prices - including free coffee and tea in the mornings with a mere 4.5 Euro delivery charge and 12 Euro beer in the bar. What do you have - the Westin Palace. I think most of the reviewers here are excited since this is the first high end hotel they've ever set foot in. Given the price and its' competitive group - the Palace falls WAY below.

It was a combination business and leisure stay. We stayed in the suites. Service was impeccable. Location cannot be faulted because it is a walking distance to the main central areas and transport.

It is an iconic hotel which lived up to its impeccable reputation.

I can not say enough good things about the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid. Our room was just beautiful, very spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel is in a terrific location, within walking distance to just about anywhere you'd want to go in central Madrid. What made our experience, however, was the service. Upon returning home to the United States, I realized I had somehow forgotten several items of clothing in our room. Upon contacting Marc, the manager of Westin Palace, he told me they had found my items and offered to ship them back to me... for free. I received my clothing articles in the mail yesterday, just as Marc promised. I am overwhelmed by this generous gesture, and it just serves to mark the Westin Palace hotel as one of our best hotel experiences ever. When we return to Madrid in the future, we will absolutely stay at this hotel- what an incredible experience!
