:) Such a beautiful haven right in the middle of Madrid. Take a few hours to wander the grounds and enjoy the scenery. Kids would love the boats (heck, I'm 25 and I loved the boats), adults will love the Sangria, and every will love the Paella, Gellato, and gorgeous view!

I loved this park. Just a nice littly escape from the busy city to chill out on the grass with a book. Lets you get some shade as it was seriously hot when we were there.

The park has lots of little cafe type places dotted around so you can have some food or ice cream.

Lovely lake in the middle where you can rent a row boat for around 5 euros odd for 40 minutes which we really enjoyed.

There is also an art gallery in the middle of the park if you can find it.

This park is absolutely beautiful. It has long walking paths and ample amounts of shade and greenery. If you are headed to the Prado Museum, or the Reina Sofia make sure to take a stroll through the park along the way.

My family spent a beautiful day at Retiro Park during our visit to Madrid. Everything was lovely. We rented rowboats, ate gelato, and enjoyed playing chess and checkers (we brought these) in the shade. Highly recommend.

Just walk around. Great people watching or jogging. Located next to the Prado. Good places for snacks.
