“Worth a look in”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

An amazing museum with intricately recreated rooms, housed in a fantastic old mansion in the middle of Madrid. Worth visiting as its not one of the main attractions, but surprises you with a quaint charm of its own. And it was free when we went - even better!

“Hidden Gem!”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

Great museum. A true under rated gem! 4euro to get in and worth it! Has everything written in several languages so you can understand everything.

“Underrated museum!”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

I did know about this museum until I came to Madrid last month, and only then, stumbled upon it after finding out that much of the nearby Museo de Historia was closed for renovations! Upon visiting it, however, I was very impressed with it! It has some lovely rooms with beautiful paintings & beautiful old furnishings. It doesn't get as much attention as some of Madrid's other museums, but it is well worth visiting!

“Closed”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

On the Madrid Card, this was listed as being open at 10am on Sunday 1st June
Arrived at that time and waited and waited and rang the buzzer
Was disappointed that the place was not open - as listed on the Madrid Card Book
Disappointing

“Old Romantics”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

If you're in Madrid I'd say this is definitely a museum to see, entrance is only 3 Euros too, so you won't have wasted any money! Interesting part of history told in the cluttered rooms. Very nice cafe as well, which you can use, I think, without going into museum.
