Loved the dolls house in this museum with the moving figures and some nice paintings, would really have liked to go in the café in the garden but it appeared to be closed.

Please don't let the Museum name fool you, it's a cute and small place with one photography exhibit (when I visited) that was extremely interesting. Has a great bakery and a gift shop. Perhaps the best is its courtyard/garden with a fountain, beautiful plants and places to sit and relax while having a cup of coffee or a delicious piece of cake. It seemed like a small and unexpected oasis in the middle of busy Madrid.

There is a cafe here, with a garden. However, when we went the garden was closed for work, but the cafe was good and cheap enought for coffee even decaff!
There are lockers for bags at the entrance (a refundable €1 coin is required). Toilets on the ground floor near the entrance. Also lifts.
You can take photos here, but not with flash. You are given a guide book

Based on the many excellent reviews I was expecting something a little more dynamic. It is a nice museum but I found it rather dull overall. Lots of family portraits and drab displays. There is some nice furniture and examples of daily life but I could have passed on this one.
