We had dinner twice there. The reason that we went back the second time is because of it's grilled veg. Unfortunately, the returned grilled veg was nothing comparable with the one we had first time. We ordered fishes and lamb chop too, both were ok. We had an excellent dinner in Melia restaurant in Barcelona, clearly époque is not in the same league as the one in Barcelona Melia. I admitted we were somewhat disappointed.

“Good starters”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

The dinner in the epoque started with a trio of very nice starters. That was the culmination. We should have stopped then.

The main course and the dessert did not match the fantastic opening.

“Unbeatable service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

We came here for lunch as we had been invited to a complimentary tasting menu as part of the Amex fine hotels and resorts program.

The food was fantastic and pushed the boundaries of quality and freshness. They have a highly skilled chef. My personal favourites where the meatballs and the artichoke in cod mouse.

Our server was extremely knowledgable about local products and was able to recommend great complimenting wine and spirits for each dish.

He was extremely attentive and made sure we had all we needed.

We sampled a wide range of Classic Iberian dishes with some unique twists. The food was fantastic.

I would strongly recommend.

“Surprisingly a lovely dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2013 via mobile

My husband and I dined here in August 2013.

As like the other reviews, we usually don't eat at the hotel restaurant as they usually aren't great but we had been given an offer for the tasting menu and decided to give it a go.

We booked a table for 9.30pm, when we arrived there was only one other dining party there. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table.

The waiter went over the tasting menu to ensure that we would eat anything (he offered to make any changes if necessary).

We decided to share a bottle of wine which the waiter expertly advised us on. We weren't disappointed with his recommendation.

Firstly bread rolls came out with a selection of different flavoured butters and olive oils. Standard fare but was all very lovely.

Starters was a mixture of 3 different items, all extremely tasty and went well with the wine we'd been recommended.

The main of meatballs with creamy sauce, although small was delicious and actually quite filling.

The dessert of pineapple and coconut ice cream was also tasty. Lastly an assortment of chocolate sweets came which completed our meal nicely.

By the time we'd finished at 11pm there were a few more customers in there but the atmosphere is the only thing that lets this restaurant down.

The wait staff were attentive and friendly and as neither I nor my husband can speak Spanish, they easily spoke to us in English.

Overall I would definitely recommend, I can only comment on the wine price as the meal was complimentary but the wine was within reason under €30.
