Spent a few days over the New Year in this hotel. Thought the hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were very efficient and friendly. We had trouble with the TV, and after several attempts by different hotel staff who couldn't get it to work we changed rooms with no problems. On arrival We were asked if we wanted a bigger room which we did, for an extra 20 euros a night. On reflection we didn't need it. The larger room had a balcony, but it rained the time we were there and a coffee machine, which was ok but not really needed. The bus 52 took us straight into the centre which took about 15 minutes, and late at night we caught the metro, so being just outside the centre was not a problem. Definitely worth considering.

We booked this hotel because of its high ranking and great value. I had never heard of the NH brand and was very impressed with this hotel. We were one of the rare tourists staying here. Much of the hotel's focus is on the corporate traveller but the hotel had all the amenities a tourist would need as well. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. A genuine smile goes a long way especially when u are trying to make a good first impression and i found the staff to be consistent in their service levels which is once again helped by the hotel's corporate focus. The breakfast was a nice surprise. It wasnt free but was on special and we found this breakfast spread to be the best of all the ones we had during our six week holiday in 14 different cities in europe. Well done. The location is relatively easy to get to with the subway station a short 10 to 15 min walk (with suitcases) from the hotel. It isnt the most central hotel but we found the subway or buses to be a convenient way to get to the centre. One of the stops for the hop on hop off bus tours isnt too far a walk away from the hotel either. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back and had the location been more central i would have given it 5 out of 5 for most things.

Stayed here for 4 nights in November. Taxi from airport around E25 or take a bus 200 to America station.

Great location near leafy government offices near Ministerios Nouvos. Breakfast was decent with even lactose free milk available. I would recommend trying the breakfast at least once otherwise plenty of options close by. Gran Via and tourist drag not too far away but not walkable.

There is a supermarket just a block away (right from hotel entrance), pharmacy around the corner and cabs always available outside. English speaking staff. Near main bus and train station.

Room Tip: I was on 8th floor which has limited rooms but very quiet. Some rooms have balconies.

On the plus side, this hotel is on the fringes of one of the nicest residential areas of Madrid (that we encountered anyway). The immediate surrounding are OK - fairly high rise apartments but completely safe.

The room is a decent size, but still the annoying habit of two single beds rather than one double bed prevails - why so many European hotels struggle with this remains a mystery. The bathroom is also a decent size, with an enormous shower - although there's a limit to what one can get up to in a shower...

This is mainly a business hotel, which equates as high standards but slightly sterile with rip offs (e.g. about £10 to have a shirt ironed and no irons in the room). Staff were perfectly friendly.

There is a bus from the airport to near the hotel - it is on Avenue Americad or such like, but make sure you get the last stop as it stops three or 4 times on that road.

Madrid is not one of the most attractive European capitals or major cities but there is a lot to see. The area around the Prado is particularly attractive. A trip to Toledo on the train is pretty expensive but worth a visit - about 20 minutes by train (maybe we are a bit thick but we found it hard to find the platform at Atocha - make sure you arrive early...).

Excellent hotel, staff welcome is genuine, spotless rooms STUNNING POWER SHOWER, area ideal with metro 3 minute stroll, close to wonderful shopping + bars and resteraunts! stayed three nights would recommend for any length of stay. Room rates are competitive particularly for a 4 star hotel.

Room Tip: Ours was super no problem
