Having just returned from a 3 night stay in this hotel I can confirm it is a fantastic hotel in a great location. Having booked my husband a Real Madrid game/weekend in Madrid for Christmas 2013 neither of us were left disappointed. I am by my own admission a hotel snob and this was a gorgeous hotel. We stayed room only so I cant comment on breakfast (although it did look tasty but felt 20 euros a day was a little expensive)...

We took bus 200 direct from airport to hotel (1.50 euros per person - pay on bus, no advance ticket required). Bus stops metres from hotel which was fab and the close location to the Av America metro station was also perfect. Metro system very, very easy to use.

There is a supermarket just down the street (left out of hotel and walk 3 short blocks straight down) called 24/7. Handy for in room drinks/snacks if you wish.

Staff were all really lovely. It is a very short metro ride to the centre but location was perfect, would return to this hotel again if staying in Madrid.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks in December/January and we enjoyed our stay. Room was a little on the small side but adequate for our needs and good value for money. Furnishings an decorations good quality. Our room faced a main street but we never had any problem with traffic noise. No tea or coffee maker, which was a slight annoyance - but we're used to this in Spanish hotels!
Had a temporary problem with the hot water but this was swiftly resolved, as was a connectivity problem with the Internet.
Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on this, though we did have lunch. This was fine though, as the restaurante was so empty and quiet, it was like eating in a church! Also a bit disappointing they didn't have a special menu for Christmas or New Year.
Other than the above, everything fine!

I was very impressed with this hotel on a recent business trip. Reception staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast is as good as other guests say. The menu of the day is good value, although the dining room in the evening is rather small, and quiet - not surprising with a good selection of restaurants in the vicinity.

The location is easy to get to from the Avenida Americas Metro station, and the 200 bus also stops about 5 mins walk away, although I gather this is temporary whilst works are being carried out round the corner.

Room was comfortable and internet was free, although had a few problems getting reconnected when it cut out, and the bandwidth is low, so no music videos unless you pay!

Room Tip: I was in a room facing Principe de Vergara, but it was very quiet.

had some really nice service during my stay - nice to of them to come and help work the coffee maker. Breakfast was very good and service really helpful. Was persuaded to upgrade to a superiour room when perhaps i did not need to - but that said was quite and comfortable.

perfect location, airport bus is just within 100 meters.......
very nice and clean room, though without these green patterns in the shower room, it would be nicer, but no reason to complain for this price..

Spent a few days over the New Year in this hotel. Thought the hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were very efficient and friendly. We had trouble with the TV, and after several attempts by different hotel staff who couldn't get it to work we changed rooms with no problems. On arrival We were asked if we wanted a bigger room which we did, for an extra 20 euros a night. On reflection we didn't need it. The larger room had a balcony, but it rained the time we were there and a coffee machine, which was ok but not really needed. The bus 52 took us straight into the centre which took about 15 minutes, and late at night we caught the metro, so being just outside the centre was not a problem. Definitely worth considering.

We booked this hotel because of its high ranking and great value. I had never heard of the NH brand and was very impressed with this hotel. We were one of the rare tourists staying here. Much of the hotel's focus is on the corporate traveller but the hotel had all the amenities a tourist would need as well. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. A genuine smile goes a long way especially when u are trying to make a good first impression and i found the staff to be consistent in their service levels which is once again helped by the hotel's corporate focus. The breakfast was a nice surprise. It wasnt free but was on special and we found this breakfast spread to be the best of all the ones we had during our six week holiday in 14 different cities in europe. Well done. The location is relatively easy to get to with the subway station a short 10 to 15 min walk (with suitcases) from the hotel. It isnt the most central hotel but we found the subway or buses to be a convenient way to get to the centre. One of the stops for the hop on hop off bus tours isnt too far a walk away from the hotel either. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back and had the location been more central i would have given it 5 out of 5 for most things.
