“Horrible...tourists trap!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 January 2013

The place itself is very normal (I would say under the standards), not well decorated, very gloomy and shabby. The "popular" terrace is very small and has a corridor shape, so you will always end up in the middle of the way, getting the shoves from the waiter constantly. Eventually they will rush you to order something else or leave the place, since the bar seems to be quite popular. I was in winter and there are not views, period! It is all cover with a plastic structure, so you see nothing outside, maybe you can intuit the views but that is it!
Be ready to be totally ripped off. Small beers cost 2,50 €, probably the most expensive in Madrid. I ordered "pandereta de Sepia" and it was totally ridiculous. I paid 12 € for a big pile of greasy potatoes, with a quarter of cuttlefish on top, served with a ridiculously small amount of sauces. When we complained to the waiter, he agreed and turned away, maybe shamed about a very common complain.
Casa Granada is placed in Tirso de Molina, where you can find hundreds of much better places, higher quality and more reasonable prices. "Mercado de San Miguel" is a few minutes walking and there are plenty of various "tapas places" with very high quality and reasonable prices. Don't be fooled! Don't even give it a try!

“Great views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2012

You don't even realise this restaurant exists as it is on the 6th floor and you have to go through a side door to get there (with not much signage). We went for lunch. There is a balcony where you can eat (although you may have to wait for a table there). We ate inside and had potatas bravas with 6 sauces, pimeintos el padron, fried fish variety plate and alitas de pollo. All was very delicious. The menu was very standard as was the prices. Overall it was a pleasant experience at a place full of local people. There was 4 of us and we paid 12euros each (including a beer each).

“Amazing view and nice tapas”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2012

The restaurant is located on the rooftop of a building close to Plaza Tirso de Molina, the view is amazing even if to get a table in the narrow terrace you probably will have to wait...
Tapas are good but not the best in Madrid...but with this unique location everything tastes better
