The local government really understood what they were doing. This place is superb to discover by bike. Clean and lovely green area’s with nice new and old bridges. You discover Madrid from another angle
Really a must do when in Madrid

Very nice place to ride your bike, take a walk and enjoy a sunny day.Good accesibility and clean! One of the best places to rest and enjoy a good book for example :)

Easy to not find an hour to walk a park in a city like Madrid, but do find time for a wonder. We were told it was the Madrid version of Hyde Park, but it is much better.

Preferred the vibe here to that in the Plaza Mayor. Lots going on and nice cafes to sit and soak in the atmosphere

Walking the 5/6 km along the old Manzanares river is a really pleasant activity if you are visisting Madrid and need to relax with your family and children. This park was built up along a previous noisy and polluted highway that now runs buried using a complex tunnel network. It is amazing to discover how nature burst when we it is given the space and environment it needs. Dozens of new species of birds have come back to the river and neighbors are now able to enjoy this peaceful piece of Madrid gained to traffic and chaos.
