The Church of San Manuel and San Benito is one of my favorite churches in Madrid because its architecture is so very different. It is called Neo-Byzantine. The inside of the cupola has a very unique painting. There is a magnificent crucifix of the 19th century too.

Found this place by accident, since it was not in my trip plans and it turned out to be an excellent surprise. One of the most beaufitul churches I've seen in my life, mainly because almost all of the wall art was made with little mosaics, includind the big dome. Photos can't hardly show how awesome it looks like. A must-visit in Madrid.

The Church of San Manuel and San Benito has architecture that is quite different from other churches because its architecture is Neo-Byzantine. The church is across the street from the Retiro Park. The façade and interior of the church are very interesting.

Just across the street from Retiro park, this little church is a beauty.
It has a simple, yet lovely Byzantine-like façade and its interior are beautiful.
Most of the people visiting this church were locals, and it's a shame, because tourists too can admire its beauty, inside out.

I always drop by this church when I go to Madrid because it is not too far from the hotel I stay in and I like to admire the church. It is close to the Puerta de Alcala and the Retiro Park.
