The hotel is not in downtown Madrid which is an advantage under my point of view and very well connected to it by bus or subway. It's a classic hotel with all the services you can think of and the courtesy and ability of a caring personnel. I was lucky to meet Mr. Magadan at the front desk who was very helpful in guiding me through the city and giving me the best tips for sightseeing, touring and restaurants. So gratetful!

Room Tip: You do not have views from the rooms, windows are double insulated for temperature and noise.

I stayed in Melia Castilla in June 2014 as a business traveler. The hotel has clean rooms, functional AC, which becomes very useful in Madrid's summer climate. However, there isn't much nearby the hotel's location. Closest subway station is a 15 min. walking. Hotel furniture looks quite antique, perhaps in need of a renewal touch. There two breakfasts served continental and American from the same open buffet, and the waiters don't give much guidance. Access to the Internet wasn't a smooth operation, since every day you were asked to fill a form and re-register your smart device. All in all, I wouldn't pick Melia Castilla for my next stay in Madrid.

It's a great hotel. The breakfast is amazing the best. The staff was very nice & helpful. We were with children & had a early check in.
The only plus is it's close to The Real Madrid stadium. U can catch the Hop on Hop off bus next to the Stadium. The hotel is away from the action. It's area is dull at nights. The hotel is fantastic.

I travel very frequently to a few cities in the world and only in Madrid I keep coming back to the same hotel. Their staff is committed to a level of service rarely seen nowadays and that makes all the difference.

Good breakfast (including an egg station), good and reasonably priced room service. Very comfortable beds, extremely clean bathrooms. Rooms are very well isolated from the noise outside and in the hallways. Nice swimming-pool and decent fitness-room (it could be bigger, but it is rarely crowded). Fantastic conference facilities. Oh, and wifi everywhere.

Location wise, it is not city-center, but it is very close to the airport and you can get to the center fairly quickly with public transportation. Also, there are enough good restaurants in the area with different price ranges, be sure to ask for recommendations and directions at the hotel.

Overall good hotel. They allowed us to check in early. Family connecting rooms were very useful as we were traveling with children. Good breakfast. It is about a 12 Euro cab ride from the main tourist attractions of Madrid. Walking distance to the Real Madrid stadium.

stayed here for a conference in March this year. Hotel a bit old and dated but okay for a few days. A bit out of city centre but easy to get around by metro or bus. supermarket nearby and close to stadium and el cortez inglis department store not to far away. The only gripe I have is that there aren't very many restaurants outside of the hotel (seems to be mostly office blocks) and the restaurants that we did see were closed on weekday evenings. reception and front door staff helpful and friendly

Dear client,

Thanks for your comments and for sharing them with all users.

We are located in the north of Madrid just 15 minutes from airport and down town and very well connected.

We are doing a great effort working in rooms and we'll take in mind your opinion about the noises between connected rooms.

We are surrounded of very well known restaurants which are open mostly the whole week. Please, let us our Concierge Desk recommend you next time.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon, recibe a cordial greeting.
