The hotel is just a block from the Puerta de Alcala, and a couple of blocks from Avenida Serrano, a high-end shopping strip, and across the street from Palacio de Cibeles. If you're not looking for it, you'll miss it. The front is just a narrow entrance, which is deceiving. The hotel is much bigger than it appears from the sidewalk. Suites are well appointed, modern, clean with fully stocked kitchens. Loads of closet space! Visit the rooftop café and you'll be attentively waited on by Maria Carmen. Breakfast, lunch, light dinner and cocktails are served. It offers a great view of Palacio Cibeles, where you can go for a meal or just cocktails. El Prado, Parque del Retiro and other attractions are within walking distance. Pick up El Bus Turistico just a block away. Three restaurants/bars along Alcala offer great options for drinks, light meals and dinner. Don't miss the great bakery across the street.

Our family stayed for two days and had a very nice stay. The front desk staff were very helpful and pointed gave us guidance on sights as well as a well stocked small convenience store a block away. The location is great for metro access, designer shopping, the Parc del Retiro, which was very nice in the summer evenings, as well as access to the Prado, a ten minute walk away. We had a car and parking was in a large public garage. Unfortunately there was no one at the windows so we were never able to take advantage of the discounted rate for hotel guests. The number of restaurant choices is less than ideal but the ones around were good quality. Even though our apartment faced Calle Alcala, with the resulting views of the Plaza Cibeles, it was well insulated and quiet at night. Biometric finger scanning room access meant no worries about keys.

Overall OK but we did not consider it was worthy of the title luxury. I will start with the positive good value if travelling with children (our son who was with us is 15) he had a sofa bed in the lounge area, we had a large bed in the bedroom. We paid about £104 a night GBP. Suite was a fair size, decor was Ok no character but good facilities overall with lounge, bathroom, small kitchen and bedroom. Reasonable rate for the city centre for three people within walking distance of all sites. Now for the honest bits, we arrived about 5ish took over 10 mins for someone to arrive at the reception. Another tourist let us into the building who was sat at a cafe outside. Worst bed we have ever slept in our lives (and we have travelled quite a bit!) sofa bed was more comfy dreadful sore back after 4 days. Spanish beds do tend to be a bit on the hard side though. Kitchen area dated we had a leak from the kitchen sink on arrival. rather than move us to another suite (maybe there was not one) they just put towels underneath. These were still there soaking 2 a day later. When we used the washing machine it leaked all over the kitchen floor dirty brown water we had to soak up with our towels. In the bathroom we dropped something under the sink and when we picked it up the dust/dirt was shocking! They advertise a turndown service but this was never done, once they called and asked us did we want it it was 6.45pm - we said we were going out and could they come in 10 minutes to which they said now it was now or it could not be done. Ran out of loo roll and had to use our own tissues and they never replaced the bathroom toiletries after day one. overall OK not sure if i would use again however.

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up ones at the front are really noisy from the main road.

Easy walking distance to the museums, shopping, restaurants, etc. great breakfast on the rooftop patio included. The suites were small by American standards, but still very nice. We'd come in on the overnight from Dallas and had to leave our baggage and walk around, go to a museum for about five hours before checking in, but that is understandable. Small but usable elevator for luggage and a very small lobby - no downstairs bar or street frontage. However, there was a very pleasant Irish pub a couple doors down. Next time in Madrid, I will stay there for sure. Great value for money compared to other suites in town.

Nice clean apartments - full size appliances, full size bathroom, not at all cramped. Clean. Helpful staff. We really liked it and would gladly stay again.

Only issues:

1. Hotel's default key is a fingerprint scanner. As a rule, we don't give biometric data, and I've never seen it used for a hotel key. However, they'll still give you a physical key if you refuse.

2. Breakfast is a little expensive for what it is but the food is good quality, the lady who serviced it when we were there is wonderful, and the view from the balcony is really nice.

3. Bed could use a little more padding. But we slept pretty well anyway.

Room Tip: higher floor reduces street noise.

Great location near Retiro Park and the great museums. 15 min fascinating walk along attractive streets to downtown Madrid. Exclusive, very large and well equipped apartment with kitchen, however not (my taste) particularly tastefully furnished or decorated, no “soul”. Chairs uncomfortable and noisy scratching the floor. Large and modern bathroom, could need a dryer for towels. Breakfast - a small choice but attractively served with attentive service - in the top floor lounge or the fabolous top terrace with magnificent views to Palacio de Cibeles and the boulevard. The hotel offers a fancy finger print key. Make sure it works on your check-out day until check-out.

For night life in vibrating Madrid check the lively Plaza Independencia 5 min away.
