“A 5-star Stay Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014 via mobile

This is a jewel of a hotel located on a beautiful treed boulevard great for leisurely strolling to various favorite spots in this grand city. The rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable, outfitted with fine amenities. The breakfast offered was superior in variety, quality and service...the best we experienced in our 7 country holiday. The front desk staff was friendly, professional and most helpful in caring for our needs and directing us to really good, inexpensive nearby places to have tapas, sample local wines, etc. I would gladly recommend it anyone who wants a moderately priced great place to stay in Madrid.

A beautiful hotel located in the heart of town, with easy access to the bus system. It is just off a leafy boulevard that is perfect for a leisurely stroll on a sunny day. The rooms are comfortable though a little small. However, the very friendly and efficient staff make your stay memorable. In addition, the breakfast is outstanding, with scrumptious bakery products. Ask for twin beds - they offer more space to sleep!!!

Room Tip: See if you can get a room overlooking the embassy garden next door.

This is a gracious and lovely hotel with a beautiful lobby, but lots of steps up to the door, back down inside to get to the registration desk. More steps down the next morning to get to the breakfast area. They did allow is to check in early, about 11:30. Like many hotels in Spain, the bathroom had many doors separating the different sections. Everything was clean and orderly, lots of towels and other amenities, free, secured WiFi. There was a problem with one elevator but the staff was very quick to respond and get ti started again. Across the street there is a Starbucks and a nice little café.

An excellent 5star hotel, located in the biz district of Madrid but very close to Metro and Buses to take you to the main attractions of the city. And to keep in mind, it's in general not far from those main point of interest.

I got a very good deal on their website for less than EUR100 per night. queen size bed, very clean hotel room. breakfast was included and they are very good. The hotel also has a restaurant on site that is Michelin stared.. it was closed on Easter weekend when I was there so not able to try it out.

I originally planned to stay in Madrid for 2 nights but then decided to stay one more day. Unfortunately they did not want to extend the same rate for the 3rd night to me even though they have vacancy on the 3rd day. By then I was familiar with the city enough to be willing to pick another hotel close to train station so I moved to a different hotel. That would be my only feedback on the hotel. If they have vacancy, they should allow guest to extend their stay at the same rate.

Bottom line - for their regular rate EUR150, I think you should expect 5 stars level hotel; but at the rate below EUR100, I think it's a great value.

Stayed with my wife 3 nights. Had stayed before at this facility many years ago and was satisfied. We now sweated every day and night at our room. The staff could not fix the problem alleging it was a matter of the season's changes of temperatures. Go figure, Horrible days. The location is not good except for a Metro station at the corner of the hotel. Our room was cramped and small. Was offered a better room at check-in for 50 euros per day more, and was refused. Nice bathroom and fixtures. Very friendly staff. We will not go back.

Clean, practical, stylish, luxurious, with friendly and helpful staff, a great breakfast, great bar and restaurant, La Manzana (delicious amuse-bouche a nice surprise). Lovely relaxed overall ambience and vibe. Stayed here for a short sightseeing break in Madrid, hoping this would be the best value, even allowing for getting taxis in and out of the centre (approx 8 Euros to Prado, in under 10 mins, always a taxi ready at hotel, and no problem finding one in central Madrid either). Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in a spacious Premium room (more like a suite than a room), which had a huge and v. comfortable bed, with several pillows (so didn’t need to use the pillow menu service which offers another 9 options). Facing the main road, so a light rumble of traffic (easily blocked by ear plugs), didn’t hear any other noise – bedroom is set back from the corridor, and doors close quietly. The room was warm (perfect), the air con was quiet, though if you wanted an icy blast, didn’t seem to get v cold (didn’t matter to me, but might to some people). Wi-fi was good.

Very much a five star hotel (hotel website lists all the amenities etc available – too many to list here).

Trendy and very good restaurant, La Gabinoteca, two streets behind the hotel (arrive before 9 to avoid queuing for a table) in a residential area with corner shops, bar, etc.

A five minute walk and you are just entering Salamanca area, about 25 mins walk to Chueca (walking lesiureley).

A splendid and luxurious base for sightseeing in Madrid.
