The hotel is in a decent location and our room was quiet which is a big plus for Madrid. The hotel is a little uninspiring from the outside but once inside is very nice. Our room was modern and spacious with a funky two sided wardrobe that an be accessed from the room or bathroom. All in all good value and we would return when visiting Madrid.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and it was fantastic! We arrived the day of the coronation of the new King of Spain...little did we know that we were only about a 10 minute walk to the Royal palace. Not only that, but we were in the city center where all the great museums, shopping and key sights were located. We were upgraded to "The Level" and had very nice rooms. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay there again!

Room Tip: With Melia Hotels, "The Level" or "Red Level" is always their best room and, wit...

Our Level experience in June 2014, was excellent. We received personal care, and advice from Clara - her knowledge of the city was insightful and complete. The hotel was amazing, clean, well decorated... and near an Egyptian Temple! Good location, good food, good spa, and excellent location.

There are some problems that I consider inexcusable these days. Rude staff, bad sleep quality, smelly roons, dirty bathroom, etc. Melia Princesa doesn't have any of this issues. But when I go to a hotel I really need a good wifi.

During my four-day stay at Melia Princesa, the wifi signal was out, and that is a great disappointment to me, as I had high hopes.

Room Tip: Check before if the wifi is working. I didn't find much of effort from the front desk staff to s...

Dear Jeanpereira,

Thank you for sharing your impressions regarding your recent stay with us.

Unfortunately we suffered a punctual issue with our wi-fi provider, and we would like to offer you our apologies as we understand that this service is essential for our customers nowadays.
We would like to indicate that we had internet available by cable, as well as at the computers at our business center with a stable internet connection in order to cover this need.

Nonetheless, we are pleased to hear that the rest of our services and facilities did cover your expectations.

We look forward to meet you again soon.

chose this hotel as it was close to our friend's house in madrid. might not have chosen this area from the map. stayed at "the level" which offers lounge access, which was similar to sofitel/hilton/marriott lounge access... our room (family, 522) was excellent with huge jacuzzi, seperate walk in wardrobe, etc etc, but noticed on the fire escape map that most of the rooms on the floor were much smaller than ours. not sure i would want to be in such a small room. great (amazing) breakfast with acres of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed OJ, breads/pastries etc etc. wifi didnt work when we were there which was disappointing. spa is closed on a sunday, which was a real disappointment... overall, great hotel, but there are better locations to stay in madrid
