The hotel is well located, enabling you to wander the city on foot. The room was small but had all the necessities for a short overnight business stay. Not a great deal to write home about on the F&B front in the hotel but plenty to be had very nearby. The staff were friendly and able to advise on where to go, depending on what was wanted.

Steps away from the Alonso Martinez metro stop, this recently renovated hotel was a great value too. Front desk staff was helpful and accommodating and fluent in English. We did not get breakfast included with our room rate, but we did add it the day before at a discount at the front desk, and for a European hotel it was very reasonable, I think about 11 euro. Typical Euro buffet with meats, cheeses, pastries, fruits. Little signs on the tables said we could get eggs cooked to order but we didn't opt for that. Room was of good size, bed very comfortable, very beautiful, all marble, modern bath. Was a little noisy but that is to be expected in big cities. Pretty view from window of adjacent old building and street below. Would stay there again without hesitation.

After more than a year back in this refurbished and redecorated hotel the overnight stay was excellent and much more pleasant! I would certainly recommend to stay here and come back a bext time. Easy to connect to other parts of the city.

The hotel has just been refurbished. The room was very spacious and we had a big bathroom. I really like the location of the hotel as you can walk to more or less everything if you do not mind walking.

The breakfast was good but a bit boring, they had no music on and there only a few guests. The staff in the breakfast room were just OK, they were more busy with them self than with the guests. The breakfast room looks very modern but I will go to a Spanish bar the next time..

The staff at the reception were great.

I would stay here again if we could get the same deal!

The only negative point is the noise. You can hear everything from the corridors, so not great if you had a late night..

This is a fine hotel. The room and amenities are good. Furthermore, the beds and pillows are comfortable. The staff is pleasant. Just down the street is a good café for breakfast or snacks. A little further on are great places to sit out and pass the evening with a beer or wine. And you're right next to a metro stop. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant and moderately priced (for a big city) place to stay in Madrid.
