The hotel is in an excellent location near many landmarks, good shopping, and nice restaurants. My room was lovely. It had excellent lighting and was very comfortable. Hotel staff was very helpful. I'll stay here again.

Great location on the quiet end of Paradios street. Our room faced the street but the double windows blocked all noise so it was quiet. Well laid out room and bathroom, although the bathroom was on the small side. Best towels we had out of 6 European cities. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as it was 15 Euro/person.

A special note of thanks to Javier for his assistance with general info, restaurants, etc. he couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. A note about the laundry bag in room:

If you don’t want your clothes laundered by the hotel, but are using the bag to collect your dirty laundry, put the bag in your luggage when you go out for the day. We left the bag on the floor, and it was gone when we returned later in the day. When we asked the front desk, I explained we didn’t want the clothes cleaned, and we didn’t fill out the laundry request form. They nicely didn’t charge us for the clothes they cleaned.

We were a group of 6 bikers travelling through Spain and wanted to stop at a hotel with good secure parking and near the main city centre and this couldn't have been better. The hotel was of the highest standard with very attentive staff with a quality bar and restaurant. The rooms were equipped with all the facilities you would expect from a hotel of this standard. The bathroom very different with either a roof rain shower or the usual spray shower, the toilet is however only separated from the bedroom by a glass sliding panel, some won't mind the view, some may! ;) The location is perfect, literally outside the main door are bars, shops and restaurants with the main centre just a 5 minute walk away. Parking is secure and underground but relatively expensive, we were able to negotiate 1 parking space for two motorcycles.... would we stay again? Absolutely!!

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor, very nice rooms and quiet!

This hotel is right in the centre of the city, perfect for getting about. Get off at the Santa Domigo metro stop signposted Santa Domigo not Grand via, you will then walk up the steps and see the hotel immediately ahead of you. The rooms are small but very clean and functional. The shutters are used via an electric switch by your bed. I suggest you skip breakfast. The buffet was varied however the hot selection was generally poor, with no appreciation of the state of the food on offer. This was brought to the attention of the management of the hotel who appeared aloof and disinterested.
Overall a good hotel, reasonable priced, well located. Staff should appreciate the importance of customer service that is on accession sadly lacking.

Preciados was a very pleasant hotel situated on a pedestrian friendly area of Madrid. It is located about a 5 minute walk from the Palace and 20 minutes from the Prado. Ideal really. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they even dropped off a free bottle of wine the first night we were there and the mini bar was included. Nice touch. The rooms are very modern, there is even a 120v plug for we Americans in the bathroom. I would still recommend bringing an adapter though. The restaurant downstairs was good, and the location on this strip was ideal for food as there were a ton of places to eat within a 2 minute walk. Overall, very nice place, I would stay there again.

My wife and I stayed in Preciados at the end of a 20 day trip through Spain.
The trip started in Madrid where we stayed for 3 days in Hotel Atlantico, which we liked very much. It then went on the Valencia, Cartagena, Granada and back to Madrid. We stayed in **** hotels in all those towns and enjoyed everyone and everyone was different.
On our last day we stayed in Preciados and it was by far the best one of our whole trip.
We arrived around 14:00 in the afternoon and the staff immediately welcomes us like we were coming home. The price was right ( cheaper than Atlantico), a great location close to Gran Via, but a small, but very active side street. We had lunch in their first rate restaurant and it was great, but not cheap. Everything in the mini-bar was included in the price ( a first ever) and there was beer, juice and pop. We could not finish it.
We would recommend Preciados to anyone and we will definitely go back.
We did not include breakfast at Preciados, because we learned the hard way that it is very easy to get a good and cheap breakfast anywhere in Spain and the hotel buffets are very nice, but typically have too much food for our taste.

Room Tip: Room we had had balcony facing street. we prefer that instead of facing inner small courtyard. So...

Loved the hotel: staff very helpful, location central to almost everything. Walk to Prado etc. Rooms clean, ours on street side and very quiet. Close to El Corte Ingles, Plaza del Sol,really everything. Did not do breakfast as it was too expensive, but mini bar was free. Still don't
understand the expensive buffet breakfasts. Still would recommend hotel.
Separate point from hotel, if taking the 1/2 day tour to Toledo, be aware that the Cathedral is not included!!! the most important reason to go. So take the full day or do trip on your own in order to see the Cathedral.
