Well, it was allright, but no more than that. Some criticism as well. The zoo has some nice expos like the one with the reptiles, but some animals have very little space (leopards) and it seems they cconsider entertainment more important than education. New childrens playground under construction might better be used to get some more space for the enimals. Furthermore chaining birds of prey between the so-called shows should be forbidden. Never saw a sorrier lot of birds than these. It is a shame !

Price great and visited during the week so we were often alone looking at the animals - peaceful walking around in the sunshine.

We have visited many, many zoo's and animal parks all over the world so feel confident that we have credible feedback to leave for this zoo. It was good to walk around, a pretty zoo and the public are well catered for but its heartbreaking to see huge play areas for kids being built whilst we visited this week yet some of the enclosures for the animals (in fact the majority!) were small, out-dated and in need of knocking down and rebuilding: the mountain goats and the baboons - both in 1960's designed concrete areas with no grass and no fauna. Most of the baboons infact were obviously suffering from some sort of skin problems and many looked red raw.

The larger animals especially: hippo's, rhino and some others were in tiny enclosures and this just wasn't right. This zoo could be a great zoo but why oh why spend so much money on upgrading and building kids play areas when you could be putting this money into the animals!

All this said, they must be doing something right as there were a lot of baby animals, and most seemed in good condition but they need more space!

The panda's were a delight and worth the entrance fee alone.

I expected more for this zoo but i don't regret going, it was nice, I spend a relaxing day in good company, we saw the animals, we took pictures, it was nice seeing those who came with children because they were trully enjoying it.

We took our 2yr old daughter to see pandas, and weren't disappointed. We all loved it. Very well organized, except for the restaurants. Lots of green open areas, to rest and let kids run around. We were on good Friday, and the crowd was unbelievable, but once you got in, it wasn't hard to get to the fence and see any animal. Pandas are beautiful, as well as many other animals. Restaurants were a bit bad experience, as the crowd was too big, I had to wait for 45 minutes to get food. However this didn't spoil overall experience. Every recommendation.

This zoo has a good range of inhabitants, who seemed healthy and happy when we visited. The pandas were an obvious highlight and it was lovely to see mum playing with her baby and watch him beginning to explore and climb the tree in his enclosure. The other panda we saw was posing beautifully led on his back eating and seemed very relaxed and happy.

The baby elephant was also really funny to watch as it played with a ball and tyre.

The zoo is well sign posted and you get a map on arrival to help you to navigate. It is generally laid out in geographical areas.

There is a short land train trio that takes you around the zoo ( cost about €2.50) and you can also hire golf buggy style vehicles for a few hours if you don't want to walk everywhere, which was a nice touch.
