The shopping street it self is very nice however most major cities have one so it's not worth visiting more than once unless it's on the way to somewhere you're visiting. The main thing which stands out of course is the Schweppes building and it's much better at night due to it lighting up.

Walking down this street feels like being in a really rich, modern, architectural city. Buildings are the highest in Madrid's centre, so by going into restaurants, you are gonna get a great view.

Just my favourite street In Madrid! A must to see! There are so many buildings and so many different architectural features in each building.I recommend to have a look to Istituto Cervantes, and if u want to chill a bit just enter the big book shop (Casa del Libro) just in front of Primark!

This is the ultimate nightlife city, and the very Grand Gran Via is at the centre of it all.
Which ever direction you head off this extremely impressive street you will find yourself with countless bars, restaurants , shops and nightclubs that seem to stay open forever.
Be warned it's incredibly noisy 24/7 , so probably not the best idea to get a hotel on this road.
