This museum houses the collections of the Marques de Cerralbo, who had the most wonderful taste, and apparently a huge fortune. The museum recently reopened after four and a half years of restoration. The building and the furnishings are beautiful and very impressive.
The most beautiful thing I saw was the Murano chandelier called La Gondola, on the lower floor. The chandelier has the tones of pink, green, yellow, and turquoise. There are figures of flowers. Apparently it won the first prize in the Turin Expo of 1884. This is the most beautiful chandelier I have seen in Spain or anywhere else.
