This was the most pleasant hotel we stayed in while in Madrid. The staff is very helpful, & spoke English well. The room we had was facing the street with a tiny balcony and great windows. We enjoyed the breakfast included with our room.

The location is great, just in front of Plaza Mayor.

On the other hand the room was not that great with old matress. Bathroom so small that the door could not be completly open and shower same space issue. If you rather be well located than comfortable go for it.

We stayed our last night in Spain before going to the airport. It was a perfect location as we were able to walk to the plaza and buy some espadrilles on an offshoot street, plus the local cookie shop was fantastic! The room had a balcony looking to the gate to the plaza. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was great. Elevator was a plus with the extra luggage at the end of a trip with lots of shopping...

The room was clean and had a great view of what was going on in the street. The staff members were exceptionally kind and helped us find local attractions, restaurants, and clubs on several occasions. The WiFi did not work very well in the rooms during the evening hours, but the receptionist was very sweet and offered to reset it whenever it quit working. Also, there was an interesting window in the shower that may have led to a utility closet. That was a bit strange! Aside from that, we had a wonderful stay!

We booked this hotel based on their location, which is excellent, and pictures of rooms on their website. Unfortunately, we were given a dark dreary hole of a room. The "window" looked out on a ventilation shaft. The security gate was broken. Curtains had to be kept closed anyway as opposite window was only a few feet away. We were told that since the hotel was full they had no other room for us .... Even though we'd booked months ahead. Apparently, it's first come, first served, no matter what you book.
To the hotel: at least redecorate this room (107) with bright pastels and reduce the price for it. You could also switch the desk and armoire locations to improve at least the illusion of having a window.
Internet was excellent.

Room Tip: You take your chances.
