Close to Metro, Gran Via, El Corte Inglese department store, shops, restaurants, etc. If you get a reasonable price, a good value. Booking in advance may get better prices. Nice lobby with oversized sofas. Hallways clean but drab (no pictures).
Room was small. Bed full size, not queen. Everything clean. Closet has three sliding doors on two tracks -- awkward. And only two hangers in one section. Decent electronic safe. Mini-bar.
Adequate TV. Shower spray very small.
I had an inside room, so noise others mention was not a problem. Window to light shaft was loose and made noise with wind (fixed by inserting some curtain in the gap).
Breakfast a bit above average. Staff kept up with demand reasonably well. Good variety.

Room Tip: Not on street side likely quieter

stayed here for 2 nights in may. hotel is very central to the city, approx 5 min walk from the gran villa metro stop, 5 mins from puertal del sol, 10-15 min from the royal palace, and 10-15 min from the prado museum. from this hotel we were able to walk all over the city without a problem. staff were helpful and pleasant. room was of good size, and the bathroom had a nice shower and 2 sinks.

Stayed for three nights in April and our room on the fourth floor was spacious with three beds. There was a little noise that can be heard from late night revellers and sirens but nothing unusual for a city centre hotel . The café bar attached to the hotel had a variety of drinks and tapas with friendly staff. Breakfast was typically Mediterranean with cold meats, cheeses and fruit etc and a small selection of hot food but enough choice to start the day.
The location was perfect for the main areas like Puerto del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Would stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Corner rooms seem to be larger.

We stayed here for three nights in April. The size of the room was typical for a European hotel and good for us. Our room was available for us when we arrived, which was terrific. We thought the size of the bathroom was good although the actual room a bit challenging. Breakfast was very good with a variety of breads, meats, cheese and other foods. The staff was wonderful. We also loved the location. We could walk to many sites like the Royal Palace and the metroline. We never heard anything at night. Very clean. We would stay here again!

We stayed three nights in April with two rooms on the 2nd floor. Great location - a little noisy on Saturday, as it is off Gran Via, but quiet on Sunday and Monday night. One son arrived at hotel on Friday and when we arrived Saturday a.m. we were happy our room was already available. We had a rough start to our European vacation, as I left my camera bag at the airport. I thought it was a lost cause, but the front desk gentlemen called the airport lost & found and miraculously, they had my bag. Then my husband was sick when we arrived on Saturday and needed to go to hospital on Sunday. Staff directed husband how to get to the hospital on the metro. Very helpful. Security seemed good as my 20-something sons came in late and were questioned by the front desk on their room. Comforting. Rooms are an acceptable size. Bathrooms a little small and if you carry any extra weight the showers could be a problem - very small.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in april and had a wonderful time. The service is perfect: friendly staff that helps you with reservations for restaurants, good cleaning service, even on sunday, great breakfast with bacon, eggs, croissants, fruit, cereals, orange juice and many more.

We booked a room for 2, but since my girlfriend 's in a wheelchair, they gave us a room for 3 persons, just for the same price.

The hotel is located in the true center of Madrid, with important metrolines just around the corner. Many restaurants are a few steps away. I read other people's warnings about the noise from the street during the night. Well, I can tell: there is a lot of noise, but the windows block most of it, so there was no problem to sleep at night.

I would highly recommand this hotel to everyone!

Spent three nights here and found it very good value for an hotel off the grand via. Easy walk to a lot of sights, tapas bars and shops. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a nice bar. The breakfast was good. Help yourself to scrambled eggs, cooked meats, cheese, etc. We had an average sized room, good size bathroom with breakfast included for £70 a night. However, you do hear quite a bit of noise going on at night as it is a very lively city. We did not mind this. Taxis to and fro to the airport have a standard charge of 30 euros.

Room Tip: Certain rooms may be quieter than others if you ask
