The hotel is located at very busy location which can be overwhelming, especially during festive season (we were there for the new year and it was thoughtful of them to provide us with grapes for the countdown tradition and some goodies). The hotel looks very run down when one stepped in, but the room is alright. The lift is very slow, so most of the time we walk up and down, it's not fun when you have luggage to carry and rush for time. With the price, I will choose other Petit Place hotel further from the center.
Walking distance to Royal Palace, Grand Via, metro, sightseeing bus stop. Lots of shops and food nearby. The famous churros place, Chocolateria San Gines, is less than 2 min walk. Go there for breakfast, worth every calorie :). Botin, the world's oldest restaurant, is less than 10 min walk, do make reservation early.
