we ate here as we were attracted by the chef preparing the octopus in the main window.
We ordered the octopus which was quite nice although nothing special, bacala (salt cod) croquettes not bad and the fried squid, this was a huge plate of under fried squid a shame really but it was so greasy we couldn't eat it .
The staff are friendly and charged us half price for the squid.
great feel about the place but disappointing food.

“Octopus Heaven!”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

I had thought perhaps this might be a unique experience, but with other places of the same name all round the world, I guess I am wrong. But in any event this is both a fun place, and somewhere to get some delicious food. Not much point in it if octopus is not you idea of a tasty dish, but if it is, you cannot fail to enjoy it. Octopus served in every possible way, even in croquettas. You can watch the beasties being snipped into bite sized pieces in a window onto the street . Plenty of excellent and cheap wines to wash it down. Salads and soups too if you wish, and the desserts are also more tempting than in many a Madrid establishment. Service friendly and efficient, and the bill at the end will bring a smile to your wallet and to you. Unmissable

“Wonderful selection of Galician cuisine in the city”
Reviewed 28 March 2013

Lovely place with good food. Inexpensive. Modest but homey atmosphere. Cozy, comfortable. Friendly staff. You can get a snack or you can have a nice dinner. Recommend dishes: Pulpo a Feira, Calamares fritos, Cocido Gallego, and of course, home wine.
