The Ibis budget Madrid Centro Las Ventas should not be confused with the Ibis Madrid Centro Las Ventas which is about half a mile away as happened to our taxi driver. The word "budget" should be taken very seriously by potential guests and taxi drivers. This is an ideal hotel for young people and others who love to travel but have limited means. It is Spartan in its furnishings, such as no chair in the room, but it is very clean; the bed is comfortable, the shower and toilet are fine, and the young staff members are as friendly and helpful as any reasonable person could want. The breakfast is extra and there are a couple of levels depending on your hunger and budget. As the term budget implies the selection is modest but more than adequate. Also there is a Metro station about a block and a half away that will connect you with the entire city and even the Madrid Airport if you don't mind carrying your luggage on the Metro cars, which we saw many people doing. That would save the budget minded traveler considerably compared with the 30 Euro standard taxi fare from the airport to downtown. There is free Wi-Fi in the room, which in more expensive hotels costs extra for reasons this traveler has never understood. We encountered plenty of young people but also business travelers and older couples too. I would not recommend this hotel for honeymooners as they might want to spend more time in their room. But Madrid is such a lively city that should not be a problem for others. There is a TV in the room. For what it is, this is a fine place to stay for those on a budget who want clean, safe and friendly accommodations.

Room Tip: Because the hotel is a block off a main street noise is not a problem, but as in any hotel try to av...

My husband and I stayed at this Ibis Budget hotel on the 21st and 22nd on June 2014. We had read good reviews of the place before we booked. The check in and check out was hassle free, the room was clean, had all the basic amenities ( mirror, table, bed lamps, hangers, and bed side sockets). The shower cabin is inside the bedroom and the toilet is separate. The shower was great, and the mattress was comfortable. The only downside was that the there was a hole in the shower cabin door through which the water fell on the floor next to be bed. So the floor would become wet every time the shower was used. The hotel should probably put a bathmat. Also, the room is a tad bit small. But for the price you pay (37 euros/ night) the size of the room is not a problem. The hotel is 2-3 mins from the El Carmen metro stop ( line 5) which is a 20 mins ride to the city center.

PS: Right after this, we stayed the next two days at Hotel Paseo del Arte at Atocha. And apart from the fancy look and the bigger rooms, the hotel is not worth paying double the price of Ibis budget.

Excellent value, excellent service, great location. Great price. Really clean. Breakfast was crap, even if it was only Euro4.50 you can get a much better breakfast on the Main Street for the same price. I've already booked to stay again, I just won't have breakfast next time.

Ibis Budget Las Ventas was an economic hotel. It's a very good choose because the rooms are extremely cleaner and the staff was helpful and sympathetic.
A very good experience in Madrid.
Beside of this, there is a supermarket close to the hotel, metro station and other conveniences.
I recommend strongly!

Excellent hotel! Clean, new, good location, safe, nice and friendly customer service. We recommend 100% this hotel :)
The hotel is in a good area, near plaza de Toros, there is bus station less that a block away, and also 3 subway entrances less that a block away. There is a near bar very near the hotel with awesome prices and very friendly people too. Overall excellent experience in Madrid
