“overpriced”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

It's a nice restaurant but overpriced because of it's location probably. The food was good but not worth the money.

“The restaurant is an insult to my intelligence”
Reviewed 10 July 2013

I have to agree with the previous commenter. The restaurant attached to Senzone is ludicrously over-priced with some of the tiniest portions I've ever seen. Sure, it's in an expensive neighbourhood, where this sort of thing happens. But the extent of the stinginess (or is it snobbishness?) is astounding. Every dish I ordered seemed to cost €15-20 and come with 3 or 4 items in it, whether we're talking 3-4 little cubes of meat or 3-4 French fries!

Mind you, the quality of the food and service cannot be faulted, and the atmosphere in the area is quite pleasant. But there is no excuse for making customers feel like you are taking advantage of them - no matter how high-priced the area is. I ate in some far more expensive restaurants in the Salamanca district, and never left with the sense of irritation that Senzone gave me.

“Worst Meal Ever”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

I ordered the lamb shanks and they arrived with 4 small cubes of potatoes about the size of sugar cubes. The shanks were simply fried and under cooked. I thought they were served with sauce but that was actually the bloody uncooked juices running from the meat. Gross:(.

“Tasty Interesting Tapas, Delicious Buffet Breakfast”
Reviewed 15 February 2013

We had both a tapas dinner and buffet breakfast at Senzone. Our dinner was very delicious with different tapas than we had everywhere else. We ate outside and it was a little bit cold but it had a nice setting looking at the Puerta d'Alcala on the plaza de la independencia. Breakfast was a beautifully laid out buffet with meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit, cereals and much more. Would definitely recommend for dinner and if you felt like splurging for breakfast.

“Fantastic chef, excellent food and wine list”
Reviewed 30 November 2012

Superb degustacion menu paired with wines perfectly. Fresh, local ingredients. Menu changes daily according to what´s available. Chef Andrew Bryson: excellent. This restaurant is not just a hotel restaurant; it´s a destination in and of itself. Very memorable meal!!!!
