“Convenient Location and Great Service!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

My wife and I booked this hotel for our first trip to Madrid and everything was excellent. The Hotel is in front of Principe Pio train station which is one of the principal train station in Madrid. The hotel is very clean and felt like new and modern, staff was kind and the room size was large using European standards. At Principe Pio there is also a mini shopping center (mall style) which is also convenient for some souvenirs. Palacio Real is 20min walking distance from the Hotel and other major attractions are far but with so many train lines at Principe Pio, they are all less than 30 min away from the station. To go to Barajas Airport We took the line Cercanias 1 or you can also take Cercanias 10 all the way to Nuevos Ministerios train station to change train and take Metro 8 line toward the airport, this trip took 1 hour. We will definitely stay at this hotel next time we visit Madrid.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the top rooms with balcony facing the city.

We had a wonderful stay here. I emailed a couple of days before arriving to request separate beds and got a quick response that it was all taken care off. The room was basic and simple with airco and well maintained with free wifi. It was very clean and spacious with lots of closet space. Due to some reviews, I came prepared with my earplugs, but i did not need them. However I do understand the remarks regarding poor insulation. Also, there is no mini fridge in the room, but there is a supermarket next door and across the street there is a mall. We did not have breakfast in the hotel since there are plenty of options in the area. The location is great with the subway across the street or walk 15/20 min toward Gran Via. I would definitely return again.

Room Tip: Had a room on the third floor overlooking the train station, it's a beautiful view at night

I spent 2 nights in the top floor. It has an amazing view of the city. The room was clean, big enough for everything, had a lot of sunlight and staff was very polite.
Besides it is very well located, just in front of a Metro Station.
I really enjoyed staying at this Hotel. 100% recommended!!

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have amazing huge terraces

Hotel and staff were amazing. Staff went out of their way to help us navigate the city and with suggestions for the time we were there. The location was prime and close to everything we wanted to explore. Can't wait to return and stay here again! Definitely have my recommendation.

Hotel is located just across the train station and very close to the Royal Palace. Staff are very helpful though their English is limited. Didnt have the breakfast as there is a supermarket just next door. Worth the price though as rooms were clean and tidy and a good size too. Only downside was that the aircon wasnt cooling enough - didn't seem to go below 25 degrees celsius in the room.
Make sure you ask for a room that is not close to the elevator. I was given a room on the top floor with great views of the Palace and Madrid.
For its price and location it is well worth it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator
