We found the apartment had a very spacious living room with ample room to leave the fold out bed open and still use a table & chairs and sit on another couch.
The separate bedroom was also spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was as expected - very small. The property was very clean.
The location was very quiet at night and there were plenty of places to eat nearby. We were very close to Gran Via and the main shopping area. In all, a great place to stay.
Hi, My daughter and I visited Madrid for a short break. We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. We found it perfect. Great location. it i s ideal for sight seeing and shops. Close to good restaurants. Elisa is so helpful she provided street maps told us what bus to get and even booked our taxi for our return trip to airport. C & O.
Elisa’s apartment is ideally located off Gran Via, close to many shops bars and cafes. Great tapas, Chocolate and churros etc within minutes! The windows face a monastery, great for privacy! The living space is large, but kitchen and bathroom compact. Elisa met us and explained all we needed to know. At the end of our stay she researched the best way for us to get to our car rental for the best price, and called a taxi to meet us outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
From the very beginning, Elisa has been such a wonderful help, her appartment is a beauty! Large widows, high ceilings, comfortable beds and seating area and a beautiful antique furniture. She was also very helpful with maps of surroundings and spoke wonderful English. Communication was also very prompt through email or this site. We are so happy to have met her and would definitely recommand Elisa and her appartment to anyone who wishes to visit this gorgeous city. Until next time Elsa!
The apartment is in a mid 1800s building in a quiet street off Gran Via. All main places of interest are walkable. The apartment is very comfortable, spacious and full of character. The bedroom is internal, so it is completely unaffected by any street noise, which is no much in any case. The cooking facilities are tiny: a kitchenette in a cupboard, but they work for breakfast and for simple home meals. That's probably sufficient for most people's needs. The bathroom is also very small. Just adequate, it would be improved by the substitution of the shower curtain with a glass screen. A full make-over would be better still, such as re-tiling, however the screen would be the single biggest improvement. Eliza is very kind. She lives on the same floor and is there to assist, answer questions, turn on the heating etc. As required. Recommended for couples or singles.
We stayed 4 nights in Elisa`s beautiful apartment. It was located very close to everything and we were able to walk or catch the metro to everywhere we wanted to go. The apartment is enormous with a large living room that had high ceilings and wooden shutters to close at night. We loved the wealth of infomation supplied about the city to help with our stay.We also loved the selection of books and artwork that were in the apartment. We did not get to meet Elisa but it was not a problem as one of her friends let us in and was really helpful. If we came back to Madrid we would definately stay here.
Lovely apartment in excellent location for exploring Madrid. Helpful owner on hand if needed. Apartment was never too warm even though it was 30 degrees all week when we visited
