We planned our trip to Madrid mainly to see this musical (my girlfriend is a huge fan).
The opening already took our breath away, the costumes and the set were beautiful.
We don't speak Spanish, but knew the story, so could follow what's going on more or less but lost e.g. the puns and "funnyness" of Zazu.

The actors were good, except maybe the adult Simba - somehow we didn't like him too much. I was surprised a bit by the crowd, and that they sell popcorn and coke - it was more like a cinema experience as a theater...

If you're expecting a broadway production style don't bother. This production is overrated for what it really is.

The theater stage is small and the seats are really uncomfortable. The head in front of you will block a considerable portion of the stage.

The production is ok if you think of it as something small. Uncoordinated, etc.

We finally took the hit and paid to go see The Lion King. It was pretty pricey for us, but was well worth the money and the hype. The building is stunning and the staff were very helpful. The cast were amazing, costumes breath taking and the show its self was truly iconic. Such a beautiful show of talent from the youngest to the oldest cast members really brought The Lion King to life. As a huge Disney fan I can recommend this show to anyone who loves the movie sing along to the songs we know and love and bask in the glory of live theater. Well worth the money!

The Lion King musical was incredible. I never had the chance to go to Broadway and see it but while in Madrid it is definitely worth your time and money. The music is incredible, costumes and lighting were superb. Loved it all the way

Great show, colours and scene is every detail well combined. Very professional people on stage, musicians... You cab see they are doing something they love. If you are Spanish you understand some funny jokes. I personally think price is too high. We drank a coke and payed 6€!
