“Excellent Apartment / centrally located”
Reviewed 20 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

This apartment was our favorite apartment on our two week trip. This spacious top floor apartment was comfortable and roomy for our adult family of 6. The lift / elevator was reliable for our senior member. All of the appliances worked well and the check-in process was stress-free. The built-in seat in the one shower was especially helpful for our elderly mother.

The location is busy, but centrally located for all tourists sights. I highly recommend this apartment.

“Great location. Cool, modern apartment.”

You won’t find a better location in Madrid. Every morning when we left this apartment for a day of sightseeing we were reminded how right we were to select this unit. Many places claim to be centrally located. This one delivered. Located on the Puerta del Sol, when we walked out the front door, we were steps from the Metro and other transportation options, near shops, great bars and restaurants as well as significant sights, markets and interesting streets. Late at night from the apartment’s balconies, we watched the revelers in the Puerta del Sol and scanned the rooftops of the city. (The balconies were also great perches from which to photograph a full moon, a lovely clock and the iconic Tio Pepe sign.) Once the balcony doors were closed, the apartment was very quiet. But a great location is no good if the apartment itself isn’t up to par. This one exceeded expectations. The apartment was ideal for our group of 5. My wife and I were joined by our sons and daughter-in-law for a week and this was a great setup. Two clean, modern bathrooms. Three bedrooms with plenty of storage. A spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Even though we arrived at midnight, we were greeted promptly at the apartment and shown into a delightful space that was clean, cool and well-appointed - a perfect retreat at the end of busy - and hot - July days touring Madrid. When you’re renting an apartment sight unseen, you’re always concerned that the photos in the listing might not be accurate. The photos of this apartment were precisely what you’ll find - and you’ll be pleased.

“Great Location!”
Reviewed 18 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

The apartment is a great size. We were 2 adults and a 10 year old. Location was great. In the middle of it all. A little loud at night, but just pop on some white noise on your phone and it will drown it out. No biggie. Kitchen was perfect. There's a grocery store across the Plaza. Prices are wonderful. Have some yogurts, milk and bread/cheese for snacking. Really convenient. They left us enough trash bags and dishwasher soap for the week. Just get a few pods for laundry and you're set. Everything dried super fast on the drying rack. Convenient to Plaza Mayor, restaurants, metro, Apple store, Real Madrid stores, Real Palace, Churches. The Juliet balconies were great for letting in fresh air and people watching. We had a great stay at this apartment and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

“Madrid - Superb City Center Apartment”

Great location ! Right at the heart of the city, although at night with the windows shut everything was very quiet, and the apartment was perfect for a good night's sleep. There is good Air Conditioning in the apartment too. This is perfect for a family looking to explore Madrid for a few days. Very near the Sol Metro stop, and easy walking distance of the Palace, the Plaza Mayor etc........

“Middle of all of it.”
Reviewed 9 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

It was a comfortable, clean apartment. We did like how convenient it was to Puerta del Sol. Shopping, supermarket in el Corte Ingles just across the square. There are a quiet a bit of travelers in the building their is a HOSTAL , second floor, which is good, since people come and go, so not a lonely doorway. It is safe , to walk around even late at night, turn the corner not on the square quaint restaurant streets. Easy to take a cab , bus across street, train station. Only thing front bedroom a slight buzz from plaza performers , two times at night, ends at 2 am , weekend 7 am ,,, really good windows, keep them closed. You slightly hear it that way . It is nice, safe, family friendly. One thing only the showers have slippery grey tiles , seniors have a slight problem with that, buy a cheap disposable shower mat.
Really great central location apartment, hop on hop of is less than 2 blocks away. Nice owner, very prompt.

Owner was waiting, very nice explained everything.

“Spacious, excellent location, and perfect accommodations for a family!”
Reviewed 24 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We found the owner, Enrique to be very responsive from the time we inquired about the Puerto deal Sol property in January. He always responded within 24 hours and was pleasant to work with. Cristina, the property manager was equally as responsive and accommodated us well. She even set up our airport transfers for us. Upon arrival, she was waiting patiently for our family and checkin was seamless and straightforward.

We were a family of five ( 2 teenagers and a 9 year old), so this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment was perfect for us. Having a fully equipped kitchen was great. We purchased food items for breakfast and snacks, which helped reduce costs for eating out on every meal. The grocery store was was right across the square from the apartment. So convenient!

The location doesn't get any better! We were right in Puerto deal Sol, which was a 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor, lots of restaurants and other attractions. Given the apartment was located on the 5th floor (6th in US), it was nice to have an elevator. This property came equipped with wifi, which works primarily in the front of the apartment and worked very well.

It would have been helpful to us, if there had been instructions in English on how to use the washing machine. It was not as intuitive to use as an American washer. The DVD player didn't read our discs, so we weren't able to watch any of the movies we brought with us. I would suggest putting a few brochures in the apartment, to help those not familiar with the area. The best aspects of the apartment were the cleanliness, spaciousness and comfort. The view of The square from the balcony was just like the picture on the Internet! Loved the view!

We would definitely return to this location again!
