“Great location and service...”
Reviewed 15 June 2014 via mobile

The location is ideal to get everywhere in Madrid, right in the centre of two metro stations within 2min walk on the Gran Via high street, one of the main high streets in Madrid.

Staff were helpful and pleasant, wifi was good (unless you moved away from reception desk) and situated in a nice building block!

Only cons were street noise and if you're wheat intolerant but your own breakfast!

Great price. No bunk beds (in my room at least). Large lockers. Hot showers. Balcony onto the Gran Via. Close to everything. No hauling yourself up a million stairs- elevator! Fantastic day staff was very helpful and accomodating!

The location can't be best!! Staff is really friendly. It's a clean hostel which is really good... You are close to pretty much everything in Madrid that you may not want to miss... the "gran via" room for two has the best view ever...
I loved it!!

This hotel, or rather hostel is housed on the 7th floor at the Gran Via. The location is very good and the price low. Breakfast is included, but simple. The rooms are very basic and pretty worn-out. You do get a towel, but a fresh one every day is too-much asked for. Showers, toilets etc are there, clean and no more than minimal. Staff is friendly, the boss did complain about us making noise.... Young lady very nice, but doesn't speak english.

Facilities: slow computer, kitchen is the only common room. Photos on website suggest fresh clean rooms, reality is worse.

Facit: cheap, low quality, good location. Max 2 nights ? Bring your own towel.

Rooms at streetside are very noisy, due to ongoing traffic.

Room Tip: There is one room (#3) without streetnoise. Also no view, of course.

The hostel is only for sleep. In my stay I tried to stay outside for more time as possible. Breakfast is simple but Ok, bathrooms are clean but only 3 for the whole hostel (men and women). The kitchen is really small and there is only one fireplace to heat the food (so only one person can cook at a time). If you are a couple and choose the privet room it stays 1 meter away from the reception which lacks on privacy. No lounge area to meet other people. Final opinion: good enough for only one night

Stayed here for the Madrid v Ajax Match . Easy to find 2 metro stations within 5 mins walks, cafes, bars everything you need in a stones throw. Room Clean, own locker, Breakfast basic but good.
Friendly reception staff who were also helpful and maps available. Had heard it was noisey but a few beers and no problem for a good nights sleep

The room here is very (I mean VERY) comfortable and cozy... A room for 4 in city centre located in Gran Via... Magnificent! Shopping and sight-seeing is very convenient when you base here. Windows are very large in the room - circulation of fresh air - no problem at all (though there is no air-conditioner in the room. Only electric fan is available. But after all, it's still good. Thanks to the two large windows)! Washrooms are very clean - the staff are standing-by to clean up the mess (the flooding, for example). Breakfast is good but still there's room for improvement. The pension itself is clean and tidy... I felt like as if I were coming home... I like it!

Room Tip: Choose a bed near the window if it's summer. You can feel the breeze there and you might be waki...
