This is a beautiful plaza with statues and a central fountain with a statue of Phillip IV upon a horse. It's right next to the Royal palace.

The Plaza de Oriente is a public square in the historic centre of Madrid where the Roayala Palace is also located. It is rectangular in shape and monumental in character for all the statues and monuments honouring past Spanish Royals as well as Spanish military heroes.

Some of the most important builds are, the Royal Palace to the west, the Royal Theatre to the east, and to the north is the Royal Monastery of the Incarnation. There's also plenty of cafes and restaurants on the east side next to the Royal Theatre.

Great square with many monumental buildings, monuments and statues.

It is a square in the Historic Centre of Madrid surrounded by two important structure - the Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral. Quite a number of good restaurant at this vibrant area. The Royal Palace & the Almudena Cathedral are closed when we arrived there.
