We were on the 4th floor and it was like being in star wars! Also got a very good price from booking it early. Breakfast brought up to the room was huge, all the staff speak english making everything easy. Bathroom is really nice, with a massive glass bath and you can watch english tv from your room.

The good - the service was excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and charming. They are a real credit to the hotel.
Also getting to the hotel is easy. It might not be central but it is a short cab ride from the airport approx 15 minutes and around 20 euros. It is also a 1 min walk to the metro station should you wish to take the train from the airport or head in to the city centre.

The bad - 'the gym' is about about 4 pieces of equipment on a mezzanine level next to the rooftop bar. There are no changing facilities up there so if you want to go for a swim as I did, you are a bit stuck as the hotel don't provide robes (unless requested). Quite surprising for a 5 star hotel. The pool is fairly small but I had it to myself which was great.
I didn't particularly like either floors I stayed on - both design wise and comfort wise. I think overall the hotel is more suited to a young couple than a family for sure!
I stayed on level 9 and level 6.
If, like me, you are scared of heights, the external glass lifts are a bit of a challenge!
The Ugly - The wi-fi is terrible (albeit free). They know there is a problem and are fixing it in the new year by changing providers but if you are thinking of staying for business i would bear this in mind as it was really frustrating.
The room service food was pretty awful - avoid if you can.
Overall an ok hotel with lovely service. I got a good deal so feel it was value for money but manage your expectations - not a top end 5 star hotel.

Great hotel, a must see/do every design/architecture amateur.
Hotel is good, rooms are nice and you get to pick them yourself from a tablet at the reception desk.
Gym is rather limited..
Breakfast is really impressive.
The hotel offers a tour on most of the flours, so you can see the differt styles. Strongly advise to do it , takes only an hour.

This was mine and my wifes second visit to this hotel and we had no hesitation in coming back. We even told our two friends about this place and they decided to accompany us on this visit. The hotel is painted in different colours from the outside and stands out a mile when you approach it. The unique feature of this hotel is that each floor has been designed by a different someone architect. We were on the 8th floor which is very space age with its all white rooms. All the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, they even managed to get some tickets for the Real Madrid match !

There is a roof top bar that is very popular on the weekends. Its a great place to have some drinks before heading out or equally you can stay the whole night. If it gets too busy you can get bottle service which will guarantee you a table and a place to sit for the evening. The bar on the ground floor does some to the best cocktails around and the bar tenders are very generous with the measures. One of the female bar tenders , whose name I think is Joanna ( I may be wrqong). To say she was brilliant would not do her justice. She always had a smile on her face and made our drinks order to perfection. She is a credit to the hotel .

The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have ever had. The selection of hot and cold foods are amazing, not to mention the bottles of champagne available :).

If you want to go to the city center, take the tube which is just a couple of minutes walk. It only takes around 15 mins to get into Sol and you can purchase a ticket that allows 10 trips for approx 12 Euros .

On the whole this is the a great hotel and if I ever return to Madrid I will no doubt stay here again

Convenient to airport and CBD and taxi's readily available without booking. Very interesting, modern decor and very comfortable, clean rooms. Great staff, proficient in English. Free Wi-fi. Breakfast buffet was OK but not great. I will definitely stay there again.

We liked the Silken Puerta America. Their service is excellent, the front desk staff is really amazing, helped in everything needed. Rooms are really modern, contemporary, and still very confortable. Their breakfast buffet is also above average, almost a brunch. They have free wi-fi and offered a free 15-minute internet access in their business center computers. The only problem is the hotel location, that was advertised as located in Salamanca, but is really 10 minute drive from Salamanca's center. So that was disappointing.

I spent one night in this hotel. It's the most original hotel I have never been into. The bedroom was amazing, every floor was different, very stylish, just different.

Staff was perfect, good at languages, nice, efficient.

I had lunch in the restaurant and again it was very different: modern, tasty food-great experience

If I have to find one thing to complain about I would say: the gym. The gym opens at 8.00 which is very late in my opinion. Gyms open normally at 6.00 in 5 star hotels.

I also missed the iron in the bedroom but I am sure I would have been provided one if needed.

I definitely will go again there if I am back to Madrid for business.

Room Tip: I picked bedroom 428 was a good choice but I am sure they are all excellent
