Very nice room, good price at $138. It is on a narrow lane a few yards from Santa Ana plaza, a lively square with cafes and clubs, but the hotel is far enough away to be quiet for sleeping.

Catalonia Las Cortes is excellently located close to bars, restaurants, shopping and great art galleries.
Our room over- looking the courtyard was very quiet and beautifully decorated although very small. Shame about the twin beds.
We didn't get breakfast, based on other Tripadvisor suggestions, and it was the right thing to do. There is just so much selection nearby at great prices.
Hotel service was fine, not super friendly but they always did as requested.

I loved everything about this hotel - the location, the staff, the gorgeous drapes and bedspread in our room, and especially the little outdoor room downstairs where we could chat with our smoking friends and get drinks from the bar late at night.

This was the nicest hotel of my trip to France and Spain - also the most expensive, but there are good deals online and it was definitely worth the money.

Wonderful hotel; smoke-free; large rooms (both bedroom and bath); very clean. Courteous, helpful, and friendly staff at the front desk. Conveniently located within walking distance to everything - the Prado (and other museums); Puerta del Sol (the Times Square of Madrid), the Metro, etc. Also - walking distance to many tapas bars, Plaza Santa Ana, Plaza Mayor - yet tucked away on a quiet cobblestone side street in Madrid. Highly recommended !!!!

This is the PERFECT place to stay in Madrid if your goal is to see the Prado. All of the museums were a short walk away and we loved the convenience to cafes and restaurants too. Upon arrival, we really appreciated the early check in and thought the staff was very helpful. One staff gave us a great restaurant recommendation for authentic paella.

The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast buffett was good too.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at this hotel which, as others have said, is in a very convenient location. Our room overlooked a side street and was blissfully quiet. The room itself was comfortable, attractive, modern and well decorated. It lacked storage space and the toiletries were mediocre and were not always replenished.

The staff at reception were pleasant and helpful when asked, but volunteered little. At check-in, for example, they offered no information regarding the hotel or its surroundings except the times for breakfast. No help with suitcases was offered. An American electrical connector could not be provided.

Breakfast was very good with a selection ranging from cereals, juices and baked goods to bacon and eggs.

Public areas of the hotel are most attractive with a superb staircase.

No English-language newspapers were available.

Stayed one night - business trip - efficent check in and good rooms - did not have a breakfast there as it was Eur 13 - a little expensive - as there are many other choices nearby at good price and selection.

The location is great very central - try and get a good rate - look around and shop - you may pick up a bargain rate.

Cleam room - nice bathroom and overall no complains.
