The location of this little jewel within 5-10 minutes walking distance of all tourist sites, restaurants and nightlife in Madrid makes it ideal. We had a junior suite, nothing junior about it as it is huge (the red room on photos, absolutely stunning) and you feel like a king gazing up at your original 18th century hand painted ceiling. I’ve never had such an enormous bed. Being in the heart of the city means no views, but also surprisingly no noise. If you want a romantic getaway in Madrid, this is the place to go.
We will definitely go back and have already recommended to friends.

Room Tip: Try the junior suite, it's huge

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel is a nice boutique hotel. The staff were wonderful, especially Juan was very helpful with directions and suggestions. The bartenders were also very friendly and provided great service. The room was a good size for a european hotel room, the AC worked well and bathrooms quite large and everything was clean. The location was perfect and you can easily walk to both the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor and the Prado. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to all the major attractions (and only 30 seconds from Plaza St Ana) but the rooms are super-quiet. The staff are friendly and only too willing to help with all the little things (e.g. printing out train tickets, recommending wines to try). Also, the breakfast buffet is good value at 12 EUR. A great base from which to explore Madrid.

Thank you very much for your amazing review. We are glad to know you have had such a wonderful stay. Just a little suggestion: now you have seen the city in summer (this year the autumn is just arrived and summer has been much longer than usual) I encourage you to visit the city in winter time. Madrid in winter has got the most beautiful sky among the European big cities. The sun, the altitude of the city (almost 700 meters) and the proximity of the Sierra de Madrid mountain range (the snowy backdrop of the city) creates a very special atmosphere. Some of us, we believe that winter is the most beautiful time in the year in our beloved city. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards.

Stayed at Catalonia Las Cortes for one night on October 4 in room 105 and was very happy with my choice which was based on the review on Trip Advisor. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, engaging and helpful. Checked in at front desk by Daniel was handled smoothly (I think that was his name) he was wonderful and very funny. Can't say enough about all the staff we encountered.

The property was very nice with a sitting area right outside the room. We were provided with slippers with the hotel's logo and a bottle of Monte Pinos water which was elegantly presented along with a nice package of mints. This was a nice touch.

The bathroom was a good size and the amenities provided were packaged well. There was a mini-bar which we did not use but had space we could store bottled water.

Great location within easy walk to Puerta del Sol, Prado Museum, El Corte Ingles department store, shopping and restaurants.

Had to leave early in the morning for the airport and had breakfast which was served from 7:30am. Breakfast was buffet and the selection was varied and ample. No complaints.

Check-out was smooth and handled by a very pleasant young lady

Wish we could have spent more time. We enjoyed our brief stay.

When next in Madrid I will surely consider Catalonia Las Cortes and recommend to anyone going to Madrid. Seems that you have a very good operation going. Way to go to all!!

Room Tip: Room 105 was quiet and faced a quiet street.

This is a great location within walking distance to Prado, Plaza Santa Ana, etc., etc. plus its staff is immensely helpful especially Ricardo and Alex who always went the extra mile for us. Our room was very spacious with the biggest and most comfortable bed we'd ever had. The green marble bathroom is lovely. Hope to return some day!

This is the ideal hotel for those who want to be at the heart of the city without being at the centre of the hustle and bustle. It is ideally situated for visiting the art museums and in an area full of restaurants.
The reception staff were polite and helpful. I am amazed at the ease with which they change from one language to another. Ricardo the barman was exceptional. He is a mine of information about the city and the art.
The room was huge (506) but the window was high up making it a rather dark room but it could not be faulted for cleanliness and comfort. We had two large double beds.
Breakfasts were filling with a variety of fruits, breads and cooked snacks (not quite en English breakfast).
I loved staying here. I found it difficult to pack and leave. The joy was we were continuing our journey to Barcelona to another 'Catalonia' hotel.

Room Tip: I would pay for an upgrade and try to avoid level 5 as I think all the windows are small at this lev...
