“Fabulous location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

Loved this Club like atmosphere, very home from home. Paula welcomed us and what a welcome the friendliest loveliest person ever and such fun and efficient. In minutes she had booked us a restaurant for the evening and in five minutes a Flamenco show for the following night. The Casa is situated in Plaza de Isabel II where the Opera House is situated. 2 minutes from the Palacio Real, Plaza Major and the famous deli and Puerto del Sol. We had never been to Madrid and felt we were right in the middle of everything immediately. Highly recommended.

This Club/hotel is just beautiful ! And it is as central in the city as you would want to be, everything is in walking distance, so that's a big plus.
The staff is sweet and helpful and most of them speak English and those who doesn't will make them self understandable in other ways. They are always willing to help with anything. Do listen to their advice on where to eat, they make the best recommendations !
The rooms are lovely, they are not inexpensive, but they are indeed lovely.
The reason I only give this place 3 point out of 5 is that you have to be careful what you pay for in this place! Breakfast is officially included- BUT! - then again not ... What you pay for is the room and a breakfast that include tea or coffee, a small but tasty glass of orange juice, a few small pieces of toasted bread and a small croissant that doesn't taste well. Be aware that there is no cheese, yogurt, eggs or fruit or anything else, as one is used to when breakfast is included in ones trip, only if you pay extra for it and they will ask and make it sound like it is included, so you have to be aware of this or you will end out with a large bill in the end!
The impression we got was that it is not the staff but the owner of this club that has made sure that guests part with as much money as possible before leaving so we made sure to appreciate the staff and not let our frustrations of the meagre breakfast, effect them.
Tip: eat breakfast out in the town or buy some and take back to the hotel.
I do think it was a good hotel and it would be sad not to choose to stay here because of the breakfast or the attempts to get more money out of the guests, you just have to be aware of the issue and work around it like we did. If you are like me and love breakfast, find some where else to eat in the morning. If you are not one for breakfast, but just need a cup of coffee and a piece of dry bread in the mornings, just stay in ;)

Room Tip: All the rooms are different so have a look at the hotels website and see what you like best. We stay...

Just returned from a long weekend in Madrid and had an exceptional stay. The apartments were uniquely decorated but it was the home from home welcome from Paola and Ignacio that made such a difference. Nothing was too much trouble. And of course being so Central helped enormously too. Will be back.

First: this is not a hotel, this is a boutique pension with a warm personal touch. The location is spot on between the vivid shopping area and the small old streets of the authentic Latina neighbourhood. The interiors are stunning if you like this 18th/19th century style and yes, the old wooden floors sometimes squeak, and the sound isolation is maybe not to today's triple glass isolation but we slept as a rose. There is a membership fee but if this helps to protect little gems as these apartments than it is worth the money.

La Casa de Madrid is located in the "Centro" neighborhood of Madrid. I selected this property based on Tripadvisor travelers' reviews. La Casa de Madrid is steps away from the Opera Metro Station. If you like shopping, "El Corte Ingles" department store is a short walk away, off the Plaza del Sol. Everything you could want to see in Madrid is either within walking distance of the hotel or a short Metro ride away.

The staff at "La Casa" are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Paula and Ignacio gave us wonderful suggestions for restaurants. Maria, the Housekeeper, was warm and attentive ... a true gem. I am looking forward to returning to this hotel one day. Be aware - there is a 20 Euro club membership fee for your first visit to "La Casa."

This place is amazing. You feel like you are staying in a private apartment. It's beautifully decorated - faded grandeur and very bohemian. The staff are utterly charming and really helpful. Every restaurant they booked for us was exceptionally good. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

I spent 6 nights in Casa de Madrid which is a beautiful and wonderful hotel filled with warmth and art. I had the blue room which is very spacious and lovely, the breakfast was great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is in Opera thus very central, you can walk to the main points of the city and it is near El Real Café, my favourite café in Madrid. Speaking of favourite, Casa de Madrid has become my home when in Madrid. There is no hotel sign, you have your own key and it feels great. There is no noise and the building is beautiful.
