Our apartment was on the third floor giving us a good view over the rooftops. The apartments are very comfortable with everything you could need. The staff are very considerate and a bonus is the lift, no carrying heavy bags! This is a quiet area and only a 5 minute walk to a very good department store that has a supermarket.Bus and Taxis are also a short distance and a 10 minute walk brings you to the retiro park.An ideal apartment to enjoy Madrid.

Room Tip: 3rd.floor or higher gives you a view over the rooftops

We stayed here twice at the beginning and the end of our holiday - it's great for families. We had a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. The shutters over the windows kept the rooms quiet and dark for sleeping.

It is in a quiet and safe location. We felt comfortable walking back from the metro at 11pm. There is a metro stop just round the corner and Retiro park is 10 - 15 minutes walk away (great for children). The apartments have a small kitchen which is fine for breakfasts. Milk and yoghurts are provided daily as are bottles of juice. The long life croissants etc are not so good but it is easy enough to purchase fresh bread etc. The crockery is a bit limited - we could have done with a few more plates and cups. The kitchens have a small hob, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and a nespresso machine (but no kettle). There are a few menus for pizza delivery if you want 'room service'. There are a handful of restaurants within a 10 minute walk but the choice is limited and we tended to get the metro into the centre to eat.

The reception is 24 hours which is useful if you arrive late. The receptionists speak good English and were very helpful.

The cost of the room was very reasonable when compared to family or connecting hotel rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor and the 6th floor - both rooms were great

Thank you very much for your comment.

We take into account their opinion about the cookware were few and we´ll leave more amount especially when staying 4 people. If you go back, you can always comment any issue or suggestions you may have at the recepcion desk.
The neighborhood is very quiet and safe and we are making a folder with recommendations for restaurants in this area as there is variety but they not are all located on a street. In less than 10 minutes walk can find lots of variety.

I thank you again for your kind comments and for transmitting your feelings with the other travelers.

I was very surprised by the size of the apartment given the price. I have stayed in many hotels and aparthotels in Madrid and decided to try somewhere slightly away from the centre and I wasn't let down. The apartment I was given had the bedroom away from the street and therefore had no noise. The apartment was spacious, with a separate little kitchen.

The place was clean and well equiped. Breakfast, even though mostly long-life items, were a pleasant addition. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

There were two downsides. The first was that the sofa wasn't particularly comfortable and looked very hotel-like i.e. you would never have it in your own home. The second was that as this is a residential area, restaurants were a little hard to find without recommendations from the staff, especially on a Sunday. Otherwise, this was a home away from home!

Room Tip: There are two apartments per floor, ask for the quieter one.

This week, my family and I spent two nights at the "Ramon de la Cruz 41" apartments, and I had stayed there two nights last year, as well. I have been a guest in several hotels in Madrid over the years, but the Ramon de la Cruz apartments are my first choice for lodging in that city, especially when traveling with family members or friends.

The apartments (studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms) are spacious, clean and well-furnished, and the kitchen of each unit is stocked with a range of complimentary breakfast foods, such as milk, yogurts, cereals, juices, fresh fruit, an assortment of packaged pastries, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, all of which are replenished daily. Each kitchen even has a "Nespresso" coffee maker with a variety of types of espresso capsules. The apartments are thoroughly cleaned, beds made and towels changed each day. There is free "WiFi" in the apartments which, in our experience, worked very well. Ramon de la Cruz is a quiet, tree-lined street in Madrid's most elegant neighborhood ("Salamanca"), and the apartments are located within just a few hundred meters of a metro stop and a short walk away from the "Retiro" park to the south and the "Paseo de la Castellana" to the west.

My only negative comment (a minor one) is that, during our most recent stay, the packaged pastries provided for breakfast tasted stale, even though their expiration dates had not passed. I'd recommend that the management try to find a way to provide fresh-baked rolls or pastries, or, at least, seek out better-quality commercial pastries from another supplier. Also, in the event one is driving to Madrid, it should be noted that the apartments do not have their own parking garage. However, a commercial garage located approximately 100 meters from the front door of the apartments offers guests a slightly reduced (but still notable) rate of 24 Euros per day.

In sum, for a rate which is, in my experience, less than what a typical three- or four-star hotel in Madrid charges for a standard double room without breakfast, "Ramon de la Cruz 41" offers spacious, fully-furnished apartments in the city's most beautiful neighborhood, with breakfast included. What more could one ask for?

We stayed 3 days, for a city break in Madrid, with a 4-year-old kid. It is two minutes from the tube station, and around 20 minutes from El Retiro park.

The ladies at reception are very nice, English speaking, they are trying to help as much as they can. The building has a lift.

The appartment had a nice and spatious bedroom, with safety box, a bathroom with a big shower, kitchen, and a really large livingroom. In the living, the sofa can be used as a second bed and it is really confortable.

Smoking is permitted, the air conditioning works. There is plenty of food in the kitchen for breakfast, and also refill for expresso machine. Single use bath and hygiene items are present and replaced daily.

Overall, no comment. I wish I could find such nice accomodation everywhere.
