“The hat is your home”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

I was only supposed to stay at the hat for 3 nights and ended up staying 3 weeks. Can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is from Romina and Alej in the mornings to Natalia and Hernan at the bar. The location is idyllic only a 3 minute walk to plaza del sol. Rooftop bar is great at night with local Spanish food and dynamite mojitos. But just the decor of the place it is clear there was a lot of love put into this project. If you go to Madrid, lay your hat here.

This extremely well located boutique hostel is great for groups or singles. The dorms were very comfortable with new soft beds and air conditioning. There is a great atmosphere with a rooftop and downstairs bar. Also they have an extremely friendly staff who speak good english. (look for Victor and Saro)

This place is more like a boutique hostel than a hostel. Very trendy and modern. I can't believe that they have only been opened 3 weeks. Give them a year and I really think that this place will be the most popular hostel in Madrid.

Room Tip: The top bunk in a bit hard to climb in and out of, so I would recommend taking the bottom bunk.

Great find! Clean modern rooms and away from noise! The bar is buzzing at night with half being locals. The place was made from scratch and is adorable and comfortable. Its a bit of a hike from the metro but a nice walk...after all you want to see the city right. You can rsvp a 9 euro transport to the airport the owner Alfonso is a sweetheart. Additionally, theres an elevator and two bars one on the roof.

Positive:
Staff is really friendly
Location is great
Facilities are really new (the hostel opened this month)

Negative:
Actually nothing, only that I could not enjoy everything that they plan to provide soon, such as serving food on the roof terasse etc.

Awesome staff who are eager to help. Pretty good location. Fantastic facilities, everything felt clean, new and fresh. Included breakfast was a wonderful bonus. Also worth looking into a private room if travelling as a couple or family since it is that nice. Really chilled vibe and highly recommended.

It is not the typical hostel that you might think, to start with it is just literally three minutes from the Plaza Mayor and has a supermarket just opposite. It has breakfast included and the price is great. The decoration is fresh and urban and the staff it is helpful and charming ( Victor, at the reception, we love you all !!). It has a fantastic roof terrace. Highly recommended , and we will definitely be back.
