Clean, well kept apartment. Loved our stay, though the apartment is on the small side it is adequate for 2/3 people but its real winner is the location.
My wife is coeliac and there are 2 brilliant little supermarkets a short stroll away with food more clearly marked SIN GLUTEN than in the UK, so she never went hungry. For those like me who can eat out without fear, there are hundreds of restaurants & bars very close by, special mention must be given to Mercado de San Miguel, which again is only 2 mins walk away but its more of a tapas/pinchos food heaven than a market! Gran Cafe de Madrid also was very good, 4 doors down from the apartment with more of a pub vibe, which are hard to find in Madrid. Also, the tour bus stop is almost outside the door, which was a godsend for us but if you are fit enough, many places of interest are within easy walking distance.
The apartment has a nice little terrace which gets sun all day but 1 tiny gripe was that there is enough space to make room for a couple of loungers but the majority of terrace is needlessly fenced off. Also, a HUGE plus, we were allowed to stay in the apartment until 8pm on our last night at no extra cost, though this will probably only be possible if theres no guests due that day.
