“Great view from central Madrid roof top”

Very helpful and friendly owner, good tips and advice at check-in. Very quiet apartment given central location. Great base/location to explore Madrid; many major landmarks visible from roof terrace which has a commanding view over neighbouring roof tops. Very comfortable bed ensured good nights sleep. Would certainly return to this apartment and recommend it; personnel view it's comfortable for two but might be tight for 4.
Caya Gallega is worth a try : 50 m down road opposite apartment on left for eating inside

“Quirky Roof top terrace for a sojourn in Madrid”

We found this roof top apartment on Tripadvisor to spend 5 days in Madrid after 4 weeks of touring Central Spain and Andalucia with Amber Road Tours, and what a great way to finish a fantastic holiday! It is a charming, comfortable nook, perched right in the middle of the relentless energy of one of the best cities we have visited.Everything you need is right around this address - the Plaza Mayor itself just several metres from the front door, the Mercado and two little supermarkets just outside it,for all your food needs, plus a massive choice of restaurants/eating options and major shops within minutes,as well as all those iconic Madrid Museos/art galleries around 20 mins walk away. Maybe not for the over 6 footers, particularly the access to the loft bed for a third person, but for average size couple, it is all you need, particularly when relaxing with a Ribera red wine and a salad in the setting sun on the terrace, after a day of art gallery gazing! And,after 4 weeks of hand washing in hotels, a washing machine and hanging clothes on the terrace in the sun is a real bonus - we would stay there again when, not if,we visit Madrid.

“Bijou but great location, GREAT FOR COELIACS”

Clean, well kept apartment. Loved our stay, though the apartment is on the small side it is adequate for 2/3 people but its real winner is the location.
My wife is coeliac and there are 2 brilliant little supermarkets a short stroll away with food more clearly marked SIN GLUTEN than in the UK, so she never went hungry. For those like me who can eat out without fear, there are hundreds of restaurants & bars very close by, special mention must be given to Mercado de San Miguel, which again is only 2 mins walk away but its more of a tapas/pinchos food heaven than a market! Gran Cafe de Madrid also was very good, 4 doors down from the apartment with more of a pub vibe, which are hard to find in Madrid. Also, the tour bus stop is almost outside the door, which was a godsend for us but if you are fit enough, many places of interest are within easy walking distance.
The apartment has a nice little terrace which gets sun all day but 1 tiny gripe was that there is enough space to make room for a couple of loungers but the majority of terrace is needlessly fenced off. Also, a HUGE plus, we were allowed to stay in the apartment until 8pm on our last night at no extra cost, though this will probably only be possible if theres no guests due that day.
