“Great zoo, amazing birds & Sea Lions show!”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

The park is nice & not too big, a family can enjoy a relaxed 4-5 hours over there

The highlight for sure is the show of the birds & sea lions

Public transportation to the park is quite complicated...

“Buy your tickets online the day before and save”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

My husband, 7 year old and I enjoyed this park. We were there for 4 hours and didn't finish the entire park. You could spend a day here. Very clean, animals in good health (unlike the reviews of the Madrid Zoo I read), interesting exhibits. If you buy your tickets online the day before you visit, you will save 6euros per adult and 4euros per child. The food wasn't very good, and was expensive, so try to pack a lunch or snacks.

“Fun for children and adults”
Reviewed 25 August 2013

We were 3 adults and 1 12-year old. The dinosaurs section was fun. We saw chickens hatching. The penguin exhibit was the favorite for all of us.

It was hot and there was no shade. Wear a hat and get there early. There are hats to purchase at the entrance and plenty of places to eat and purchase cool drinks.

Purchase the tickets online for discount.

“Pleasant place to visit”
Reviewed 15 August 2013

This is a zoo although it does not use that name. Limited range of animals put into zones. Not hard to get - 10 minutes walk from the metro. You get to go in with the kangaroos? Cheaper tickets on line.

“Would have been a 5 if more reasonably priced”
Reviewed 9 August 2013

Faunia is a much more friendly experience than Madrid Zoo, the animals are in a more natural habitat and visitors are guided through various ecological systems including a tropical rainstorm. Some of the animals are loose within their own enclosures which visitors walk through and therefore this can be in some ways frightening for small children, particularly in the jungle environment where the monkeys are encouraged to jump on the information signs and handrails. I have 2 small moans about Faunia though, the first is the cost which for a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers comes to over 100 Euros and the second is the lack of directions from the nearest metro station for those travelling on public transport.
