The Lavapies neighbourhood is a district of Madrid that is home to many great cafes and bars and Bar Borodin was one such bar we chanced on as we were bimbling around this part of town.
Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a nice traditional interior with great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar, the bar offers a great meal menu, the burger menu looks particularly impressive and they also offer a great craft beer range on both bottles and on draught with the beers on offer displayed on boards by the bar.
My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Friday late afternoon and we luckily managed to get a table were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of a couple of beers, we opted to have an IPA beer each and for our meal we went for a burger each served with fries .
Our beers were superb,very hoppy and really thirst quenching and after a short wait our burger meals arrived,these were superb ,a juicy tasty burger,a very generous filling served between fresh tasty buns and delicious seasoned fries,it was a superb burger and coupled with our delicious beers made for a great dining experience.
We moved on after our delicious meals and beers and for a first time visit we were very impressed with this great restaurant and bar.
Borodin is really easy to locate, we jumped the metro down to stop Embajadores and walked down Ronda De Valencia were you will find this bar.
Opening hours are;
Tuesday to Saturday, Midday till Midnight.
A great bar and well worth a visit.
