“Disappointing, outdoor area and furniture needs referbishment to justify the prices charged.”
Reviewed 24 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Having stayed in several villas over the last 10 years this is unfortunately the first time we have had to write a negative review.

We arrived on day one of our two week stay and in order to access the key to the villa our first view of the property was the garden/pool area. We couldn’t believe how poorly maintained the outside area was! The pool was filthy with a thick layer of dirt across the bottom, loose and broken tiles within the pool, not appealing with two children and bare feet. As for the rest of the garden, there were several broken bits of loose decking wood along the small path to the pool. The main patio area was filthy, thick with dust as well as a broken deck chair just left. I can only describe the outdoor seating area, sun beds and deck chairs as cheap and cheerful. There was even an old pair of dirty canvas shoes left hanging on the pool fencing. Certainly doesn’t match the high end price tag of £2000 for two weeks. As a result of the above we spent our first afternoon scrubbing and generally cleaning outside. Not how we imagined spending our first day.

Can’t fault inside as it was at least clean and tidy compared to outside. It would have been nice to have had a welcome folder upon arrival to show us how to work things and details on the near facilities. After rummaging through an old basket tucked under the TV we found on old folder however this was several years out of date and clearly hadn’t been updated. It would have also been nice to of had a towel and bed linen change after week one as we have had in past villas.

Furthermore we realised on night one that none of the outdoor lighting worked including the pool lights, we contacted Andy as advised, and as polite as he was and promises of getting it sorted we waited a further three nights before it was eventually fixed by an electrician who ended up changing the outdoor lighting completely and in his words ‘everything was completely burnt out and probably had been for quite some time’. Whatever happened to quality checks before letting a property out? There were further problems with the pool lighting which eventually got fixed but by then had spoilt our first week, having electricians in and out every other day with very little and sometimes no notice. We did contact Penny (owner I assume) on day one by email expressing our concerns but did not even receive an acknowledgment however she was great with communication at the time of booking and taking payment. Surprise, surprise.

To top off the holiday we had builders in the villa next door doing renovation works for the full two weeks (apart from the weekend) from 8am until 6pm! Drilling, banging and clouds of dust. Had we of known this would be the case we would not have booked.

The golf club and site itself is lovely and very well maintained, if you do want to use any of the facilities such as the gym advertised please note that this does come at a cost and only hotel guests can use the gorgeous communal pool, this was confirmed by the hotel management staff that are always on sight.

Overall despite the inside being pleasant the endless issues with the outside living area spoilt our stay and meant we had to spend as much time out as possible.

The lack of pictures advertising the villa should have been alarm bells for us, definitely a lesson learnt.

We stayed there as a family of 7. With children from 3 to 12. The house was a great size and the outdoor living was just as good. The garden was enclosed so it was ideal for small kids, and the pool had a very secure wooden fence around it with bolt on the gate. There were plenty of sun loungers and chairs. The area is beautiful and very safe. To sum it up we had a brilliant holiday and I can highly recommend this villa. I hope to go back next year!

“Excellent!”
Reviewed 4 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Just returned from our annual golf trip. They were 5 of us staying in this superb villa. The villa was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. It benefited from its own (small) pool and sunbeds (you can also use the community pool a short walk way). There is also a table tennis table on the large covered patio. The centre of the resort is a 5 minute walk away. I would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again!
