Having read all the excellent reviews for this restaurant, we were really looking forward to having a meal to celebrate a special birthday however we came away feeling rather disappointed. Firstly, one of our friends was not feeling too great and only wanted a small portion but when he asked the waitress she straight out said he had to have a full portion (without even asking the chef). He asked her if he could just have some pasta with tomato sauce and again she refused to enquire and said it wasn't possible. Then the waiter brought the bottle of house wine we had ordered, uncorked it and plonked it on the table - he didn't offer any of us a taste which we all thought was rather unprofessional.
The food: I had a salmon and seafood pasta in cream sauce which was very nice but my husband ordered a filet steak in pepper sauce, which was quite expensive, It arrived, swimming in a thin "pepper" sauce and it was fairly tasteless. One of our friends had a duck risotto - she was expecting it to come with small pieces of duck in a creamy risotto but it was more like a casserole! The duck was minced and there was quite a lot of liquid plus it was very salty and she left most of it.
Dessert was good but we had to wait quite a long time for it. All in all we were not impressed, especially as we had eaten the previous day at La Catedral - by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in Spain. Maybe they were having a bad day - who knows but this was our experience and we would not recommend it to anyone.
