The Husa Cartagonova hotel is just on the edge of the pedestrian area of the old town - a wonderful location from which to explore Cartagena. The room while not large was efficiently organized with a good working area for a computer.
However, the first thing I noticed when I entered the hotel was a musty smell that I associate with old, neglected buildings, dampness and mold. (Thankfully, this smell did not extend to our room.) As we were leaving, a man was vacuuming the lobby and the vacuum was shooting out dust and an unpleasant odour which definitely didn`t help the smell problem.
It may have been a language issue but the staff was not very warm or welcoming either on arrival or departure. The hotel is reasonably priced but don`t expect 4-star ambiance or treatment even if 4 stars are shown on their sign.More
