We stumbled into this restaurant from the street full of bustling tapas bars. We were looking for a quieter more relaxed dining experience. It looked promising, but that's as far as it went. I had a paella starter that looked like baby food, and I was, unusually! Unable to finish it. Not one of the dishes met with a satisfied customer.
The staff professed that they had no white wine at all and could only offer one of our number, "House rose" by the glass. Indeed it seemed to us that they had to leave the building and buy what we had ordered commercially.
There were four hungry diners and we left very disappointed. The food we ate at the motorway services puts this restaurant to shame, despite the grimacing, supercilious service.
We should have eaten in the tapas scrum of the street below.
