“Don't Believe All of the Reviews”

My wife and I took a chance on Ezcaba despite the negative reviews as it is the closest campground to Pamplona. Our experience was the opposite of those described as the bulk had to do with camping there during the San Fermin Festival. At that time the campground's capacity can come close to 2,500 people, an insane amount given any facilities resources, let alone this one. If you stay here any other time you will find a nice campground with many nice features including spacious restrooms with nice showers and good hot water, a cozy bar and adjacent restaurant, and easy access to Pamplona, including a very nice bike path that runs just outside of camp.

My only complaint, and it is not singular to this campground, is the poor quality of the Wl-Fi provided, but I'm beginning to think it is a problem you'll find in most campgrounds like this one.

We stayed here for the 2013 San Fermin Festival as part of the PP Travel package. The campsite actually had decent facilities and was kept reasonably clean considering the number of people there, about 2,500 most of whom are Australian. Our main complaints about this place was their drink and food ordering system whereby you need to prepay for everything and then hold onto the receipts which you then cashed in in the bars. Ordinarily that probably wouldn't be so bad but with 2000+ people on site it was a nightmare. Also there is no shade whatsoever on site and people were reduced to hiding out in the toilet to get a break from the sun.
If you're going to San Fermin and you want to party all week then this is as good a place as any. You can get into the city in 25 mins on a bus

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a Festival Adventures package we had booked. Considering the amount of people staying I thought the facilities were pretty well run, toilet and showers cleaned regularly, a bar and snack place on site, a swimming pool, a stage for bands to play in the evenings and regular shuttles back and forth from the festivities. I would recommend Festival Adventures as our tents were set up at the bottom of a hill far away from the bar and music which was better for sleeping, they also included free shuttles and a nice English breakfast every morning.

Coming to the San Fermin Festival, this was the recommended (and cheapest) option in terms of where to stay. It's about a seven minute bus drive from the campsite into the centre of Pamplona, but buses are relatively frequent (especially early in the mornings just prior to the run). I decided to book us a total of 7 bunk beds, and we were very fortunate in that no one had booked into the actual barracks (which housed a total of 40 bunk beds), so we weren't having to share with anyone else and thus managed to sleep OK.
We stayed there during the last two days of the festival which tend to be less busy than during the beginning or middle of the festival, and I'm not sure we would have had the barracks to ourselves had we stayed there earlier in the week.

The bathroom facilities on site were pretty good (and clean as well!)...we all agreed that in terms of low-budget accomodation options during the second week in July, this is really the only option to go for.

The camp site looks great on the website and has a lot of information about the San Fermin festival. What they fail to tell you though is that during this time the campsite is full of roughly 1000 18-25 yo Australians. I've meet a few great Aussies in my time, but these people were a pain in the Backside.

As two 30 something Brits we can just about tolerate this but, I wouldn't like to bring my family here as some people clearly had.

Expect through the roof prices to, we paid €62 euros a night to park a motorhome with electricity.

The campsite is easy enough to find and its a little bit out of town.
We stayed out of season so there was no problems in getting a site. The toilets and showers are clean but don't expect the lights to stay on to finish what you are doing.
They provide wifi here at a cost 9€ for the 2 days but it kept cutting out when I was doing things, and only one user per password, so I went to go and buy another at reception no one was there, twice, so 4 of us had to take turns in using the wifi.
Overall not a bad campsite I've been to worse
