We stayed one night a the Hotel Europa to see the town Hemingway described so vividly in his book. The hotel is in a great location, right in the center of the old city, and right around the corner from the plaza where Hem and his friends sat at cafes. Our room was a decent size and overlooked the street which is a pedestrian street, but a little noisy at night until the nightlife dies down. Parking is nearby just underground in the plaza. The one downside of this hotel is the elevator. You first have to walk up one 2 story set of steps before you get to the reception. Then because the hotel spans 2 buidlings that are not on the same level, you need to go up and down a few steps before you get to the elevator. Then even on our floor we still had to go down a few steps before we got to our room. So if steps are a problem, beware...Otherwise it was a very good choice for us.
