“Well explained”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Not the most exciting of Spain's beautiful old cathedrals but there was an interpretive museum attached which detailed the cathedrals history right back to pre-Christian times with exhibits from different periods. The cloisters are stunning and the whole place was well worth a visit - and the €5 entry fee which is reduced to €3 for Pilgrim - so if you are on the Camino take your credencial to be stamped.

“Another cathedral”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2014

As Cathedrals go, Pamplona is as good as anywhere, the building is interesting and hugely magnificent and of course inside is as full of excess as any other Cathedral.
We did have an interesting guided tour and I guess it is worth doing this if you are goind inside.
There are a few interesting buildings in Pamplona worth a visit

Wonderful building. Delightful and well designed exhibition giving real insight into Spanish history. Cloisters are beautiful. Best cathedral in this part of Spain for interest and atmosphere.

“A Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014 via mobile

At first look this seems a very ordinary large cathedral but once inside and having visited the excellent museum its true character emerges. The museum is modern and well laid out explaining the origins and history of the site very well indeed. Then when walking around the actual cathedral the character and background to the current building you see comes out well. It takes 2-3 hours for the visit but it is well worth the time spent there.

“Great Value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

At first we thought we were being generous by agreeing to pay the 5 Euro charge to visit the Cathedral, thinking it would be a donation for a good cause. Little did we realize that we were to receive so much for that fee! The Cathedral is beautiful, as is the cloister. But what we found amazing was the museum off to the side of the cloister. it covers a lot of history, includes some amazing special features, and was totally delightful. We were pleasantly surprised.
