I booked this hotel far in advance because I wanted to attend the San Fermin festivities in July, 2010. I knew it was not central to the city, about 3-4 kilometers away, but that meant a quieter respite from all the partying and chaos. There is a bus that stops about 100 meters from the hotel, but it is not that frequent so many guests just shared a taxi to get to/from Pamplona each day.
The hotel room was standard HI express, but that's not a criticism. The A/C was most welcome after a long, hot day and the breakfast was a decent buffet and free newspapers. There was free wireless and a PC in the lobby for guests, but during our stay the PC was always occupied by kids keeping up with their Facebook accounts.
Not sure if I would stay here during non-festival times, as the location is a bit remote. But, I will say our stay was wonderful and the staff was great considering the busy time of year.

Bit out of the way, but an excellent hotel, well worth the visit. Good breakfast and excellent staff make this hotel worth a visit. We were 4 adults on motorcycles, and the staff were so helpful. Already planning another visit. Well done to all.

very clean and tidy hotel. Located about 2 miles from the old city centre. Easy access to all town's facilities by taking bus 11. Advice against taking taxis as they charge very high. 2 minutes drive from the hotel to the city centre would cost about 10 euros. Hotel staff are very friendly through communication sometimes becomes a real barrier. very poor command of language but you could manage with sign language sometimes LOL. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights 4 days for a total rate of £130. it's typical three star hotel, so you can't ask for more regarding hotel amenities. i will definitely recommend this hotel for short staying. if you plan to stay for longer than you either rent a room somewhere in the city centre of rent a car.
BTW there was very nice shopping mall of walking distance from the hotel
Cheers

The rooms were small but modern, with some nice features and ikea-esque furniture. Though the hotel was non-smoking, the room smelled a bit of smoke. The hotel itself was near a large mall with restaurants, but a taxi was needed to get to the city.

The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't provide toiletries as most chain hotels do. There was soap from a dispenser on the wall in the shower, which the concierge claimed was also shampoo, but it seemed to function as just soap.

The breakfast downstairs was great!

Signs everywhere warn guests not to take valuables into town because of incredibly high rates of crime, but the hotel does NOT provide safes in the room. Your only option? To hand everything to the desk staff for safekeeping in the main safe. We were carrying a lot of valuables and, as we checked out, the bag we had stored in the safe was snatched by someone we believe was tipped off. The general manager was very helpful and took us to the police station to file a report, but this is a modest hotel in a warehouse district and there was a reason the thief was waiting in the lobby when we checked out. (We had requested a taxi the night before, giving our time of departure.)
It is irresponsible of Holiday Inn not to have room safes when they themselves acknowledge the high rate of crime in Pamplona.

The hotel was out in the indutrial district and away from El Centro. About a 10 minute (max) taxi ride and about 20 on the bus. Not the place to go for the cultural feel for Pamplona but it was certainly comfortable, clean and functional. It was 3 times the normal cost during San Fermin, but that is every hotel in the city. The room was clean modern, and it was quiet for those needing to get rest from the festival. The staff was very friendly, the bus stop was about a 5-10 minute walk away. To our surprise there were taxis at the hotel in the morning dropping off late partiers, that we could take into town early for the running of the bulls. If you want a break from the action of the festival this is ideal, but no ammenities within walking distance. I would only recommend this hotel for a place to sleep during the festival. I would not recommend it as a place to spend your holiday during other times in Pamplona.

Yes it is out there but quiet especially during the festivities of San Fermin. It is reachable by bus (line 11 Galleria stop). It is a large room especially in European standards. Very modern. Helpful staff who gave us our Pamplona neck scarf and a great suggestion for dinner at the nearby commercial centre, open late. Ask for the map and recognize that the hotel is off the map so always take the bus or taxi there.
