We have just had a week in these apartments, a great holiday but plenty of concerns about the accommodation. My party consisted of two 40 year old adults and teenage children 15 and 19. We were also accompanied by friends in their late 30’s and a child under 10. We booked the Alpha room transfer and we were dropped off at the Flamingo Benidorm as neither the contact at the airport or the coach driver knew where the Flamingo Sunplaces were. Fortunately our apartments were just around the corner and I’m glad I had viewed them on Google earth as they did not have a name sign. We arrived at one o’clock in the afternoon and check in took a while as the reception/security man could not speak any English (I did not have a problem with that as after all we are in Spain and I can also speak a little Spanish) and he wrote at a snails pace, we also had to pay 150 euros deposit which I knew about before hand. My apartment was ready straight away as was my friends I think this was because we had children. The other two in our group had to wait till after six in the evening to gain access to theirs. The apartment door had been kicked in several times, this was obvious by the repairs to the door casing and its present state was far from ideal. The apartment had not been refurbished by the looks of it since it was built and it was in a tired and tatty state as were the others in our party, it was also missing items from the itinerary namely the kettle. This info is located on the on the wall next to the fuse box near the front door. Some of the electric sockets did not work either. The balcony was large and spacious and overlooked the pool which was warm and clean. We were there a week and had no linen or towel change in that time; we also had to buy our own toilet roll as there was only one in the bathroom when we arrived. When we checked out the reception/security man went to view the room before we left and he returned our deposit which I found amusing as we left the room cleaner than when we arrived and the full contents of the apartment were probably not worth 150 euros. These apartments are located in good spot but are best suited to Stag and Hen parties and not family’s. Couple of things to look out for locally, steer clear of the sun terrace bar which is near the Titanic bar, we were over charged TWICE by 10 euros a time which we got back when we pulled them. And visit Lilly’s Cavery which is down the yellow brick road which starts right near the apartments. We only found this place near the end of the holiday, they do a fantastic cheap breakfast and the staff are lovely polite people.
